hey, i love this site… right now i don’t have time to write out some theories everyday… but i get on here everyday and try to comment some ppl to support and pledge my loyalty to this site in different ways…

i love it here…. if for some reason you have to leave for good… would you be opposed to turning it over to someone else?

That’s great. You don’t have to be one of the ten writers to make an impact. Even this post you left is a boost. Whatever you can do to promote a healthy site will be appreciated. If you have only time for one post in the next week just make it your best effort. And make certain to encourage those who do commit to writing daily posts by interacting with their ideas and let them feel that love.

This site is not mine to turn over. I do not own nor will I ever seek to own this site. I just love Lost and I enjoy this format. And I know that when we operate as we ought this is the best game in town.

I am looking for ten (or more) writers because I think we all need the morale boost of being able to come to the site for the next 10 days and know there will be a handful of posts worth reading at any given time. I believe we still have the talent here on this site to be a voice in the larger Lost world.

You have convicted me as well that I should have made it clearer that 20 who write 5 quality theories over 10 days could be just as good. In the end we are looking for a hundred posts spread out over 10 days.

i like your idea, but i fear that nothing will change. the bad posters will follow.

sierratango, I was just checking back to see if anything has changes since the “Purge” and well it looks like the some onld thing is going on here still even among a post like your that is trying to build unity. If you are looking for a good community to post in my I suggest http://losties.darkbb.com/index.htm Very good site with moderators to stop the Trolls and no badgate ways.

I loved this site when I first found it but unfortunalty ovet the past few months before the purgeing of the site by Jeff it really started going down hill. I think Jeff shutting down this site was the best thing that happened for it forced me to search out a new place else where to go and play and I did find a place and my new home is so much better.

There are great places out on the web to post I suggest you do a little seraching if your efforts here are not respected and appreciated.

I’m up for it, and I advertised this site on youtube after it went down. I suggest everyone does the same.

I love the format as well and that’s why I prefer this site over the other site advertised by Alaina. There are hundreds of forums like the other site but this one is still the best. Of course if all that goes on is bickering then who would want to stay but for the time being, there are some great theories and ideas that are posted each day and its too easy to ignore the few trolls. So I’ll be here each day as long as I can. I’ll still visit the few other sites that I usually do but this one is still my favourite.

Alaina, I have asked nicely before and I am asking again, please don’t come here advertising Jax’s site on LT! I will have to speak to Jax personnally the next time this happens. This is only a courtesy to the members who have chosen to stay on here at LT.

Jacob agrees with this experiment to keep LT alive. +1 to you, sir or madam. I don’t post theories, but I am here to back you up 100%.

Annie, I don’t advertise any other site even though I no longer consider LT my primary site for Lost discussion anymore. That being said, I don’t think speaking to Jax personally is going to change anything. Jax can’t control who advertises the site. It’s not like Jax is going around telling people to advertise the site. I think people like Alaina are actually trying to be nice and helpful, as opposed to disrespectful.

Irocz, I think you know I have no arguement with you. I don’t think Jax is telling people to advertise the site. My problem is with the people who do advertise on LT. I don’t think you would like it very much if I joined your site and started advertising LT over there, which is something I wouldn’t do, of course.

I thought the problem had stopped, saw it didn’t, so I addressed it again when I saw it. I will again, if I see it again. I think you would do the same.

Hey Annie this is Lojozz, I spotted the advert and informed Jax who immediately put up another post on her site requesting that people do not advertise it here.

Glad to see you still fighting the good fight over here.

This has been a great site for theories (and I missed it while it was on it’s short hiatus). Looking forward to more of them!

I was beginning to worry I’d never taste a fresh LT brew again… Thanks JC.

Upon first arriving at LT Tavern there were numerous bar keeps with in depth knowledge and skill. Bartenders like AC, Jazz, Annie, Prof, and on and on, could serve up a pint like no other. As time progressed and my thirst for a fresh beverage continued to aggresively gain control, I found that I was receiving anything but.

It seemed the tavern had regressed and the new keeps were serving up watered down garbage. The new employees were rude, not very bright, and seemed like they’d rather start a bar brawl then get everyone wasted. I even had to take one out myself… ala Bas Rutten tactics.

RIP luv2hate…

That said… I had to get my fix elsewhere. Now that the Tavern has re-opened, I will again try out a frothy brew or two. Just make sure they stay fresh and frosty please.

Now… where are my old bartenders? I need a shot…

Seems like the hatch is finally imploding. Remember the whole Kama/dhama theory thingy - maybe there’s something in it afterall.

Jeff warned everyone after season 1 that they were not to email him, that the site was produced on a shoestring budget as a hobby and that if it ever became a burden he would shut it down.

By one of the worst I meant not always or rarely serious. I read the theories and a couple of times written a couple of posts myself. If I have something serious to say I say it. If I think I can get a laugh I’ll say that too. But I try not to say anything pointlessly mean because it’s just not worth my time to type things like that.

I’m one of the good guys! I don’t flame people! See? I’m kind of like Ben…

I agree lost4815162342, but I’m trying to put a plan in action. I don’t want to talk about the site anymore. As a matter of fact , I propose we place a moratorium on posts about the site for the 10 day barrage of well argued theories and responses. I just want to read and write thoughtful material. We’ve tried ignoring these malcontents and it didn’t work. I want us to put 100 all but earth shattering posts up on this board that will unmask the counterfeit Lost Theory.com community that has risen up here and set the LOST world’s ears at our door.

Some have proposed that we leave LT.com and go to losties.darkbb. I’ve been to the other site and truthfully it is wonderful. There is a great family feeling over there that many of us may want to participate in. And for right now they are not inundated with people that want to undermine their good work; it is very attractive. Go ahead check it out, go ahead and join if you like but like their site administrator said it is not an either or decision.

LT.com has been unique. Whereas losties.darkbb is a “home”, LT.com is a “think tank” for serious minded Lost theorists who want to grind it out with their minds without any distraction. Sadly, it would seem, many of the best theorists left this site to exclusively tend to the other. We are going to have to go into over-drive to convince them to attend to both. The best way to resolve this competitiveness between the sites is to acknowledge they both have something to offer. Let them advertise over here for all I care as long as they let us advertise over there that we are unique and have much to offer the no nonsense theorists.

Nice pickup Kid. It’s exactly what they’re up to and why they keep sniffing around LT pretending to be do-gooders. Wonder if they’re doing the trolling too. Wouldn’t surprise me one bit. Seems like somebody is pretty determined to get this site shut down before the finale of Lost. Sure hope J.Croft is paying attention. This post should have been flagged as obscene by you watch dogs. Did you read 6 and 37. This site is sick and frankly no one seems to be willing to give up their weekend to help it get better. Why can’t you take your hatefulness and all the energy you put into your destructive harassment of me and put it into creating some theories on this site; some descent theories. It is much easier to destroy this site than it is to build it back up. You guys are lazy cowards. I love this site and I tried to do something about it and when folks started flinging crap at me you were silent. and your silence was deafening and even more so now that I know you were sitting on the sidelines licking your chops waiting for me to weaken.

I spoke with Jax weeks ago, and she can’t and won’t stop them from advertising! Just stop, and go back to posting theories annie, because it’s getting old.

Ok this board is pretty old but I’m going to put my 2 cents in for whatever it’s worth. I just joined this site yesterday and I put up two theories and sure they weren’t very good and I’m not afraid to admit that but honestly the response I got to one of them was pretty much enough to make me rethink joining this site and finding another one. It was really rude and maybe the people on this site are all “serious” thinkers about Lost but that doesn’t make it ok to trash someone else’s idea, even if it is a bad theory. I don’t mean to sound whiny and I’m not going to say who it was but here is what was said to me: “Don’t waste your time fully thinking this one out as what you have so far is completely rediculous. The arguments you make in support of your “theory” are so preposterous as to not require elaboration.” Maybe it was stupid to even put this up on this board but it was still insulting and rude to have someone say that on my first day here.
