so obviously island moves 108 times quicker then the rest of the world.that would create that feeling that things are taking longer outside cuz u are moving so quick.

there is a time difference on the island we know that. we have all posted our theories but none added up until now
Ever since daniel faraday told jack how time didn’t go by the way it appeared to. i was extremely facsinated. and i started to think. thinking really hard until my brain hurt.and i got it. remember when des and sayid left on the heli for a 40 mile trip and juliet said that trip would take twenty minutes? and it had been a day.and then later that night they got the call that they just got there? well thats about 36 hours. well 20 minutes times 108 is 2160 minutes.2160 divided by 60 is. guess what exactly 36 hours. nice! it gets better. when faraday had the beacon launched the girl counted down to 0 kilometers and i timed it . 29 secs. i did the same mathmatical proccess except i converted to hundredths. thats means i multiplied that 29 by 1.67. making 48 hundreths of a minute.then i multiplied by 108 again and got 51.84 hundreths of an hour. so i went back and i multiplied the actual thirty one minutes it took to get there by the converter 1.67 and i got 51.77 it was only off by 7 one hundreths of a minute. so obviously island moves 108 times quicker then the rest of the world.that would create that feeling that things are taking longer outside cuz u are moving so quick. so here is something im just adding on. the sickness is the apocalypse and it already happen there so d i knew it was gonna happen to the rest of the world eventually but obviously more brutal with more lives lost so they were trying to stop it.tell me what you think

You mean Daniel Faraday right? Wait so wouldn’t that mean that………. Even though our Losties have been on the island for nearly 108 days, really only 1 day has passed in the outside world? Or is it the other way around and really 11,664 days have passed (32 years?!?) I could definitely see this happening and it makes a lot of sense especially with how you explained it. Your grammar wasn’t the best but grammar isn’t an important part of math anyways. +1 =)
i think that the amount of days past is the tricky part. i think that traveling through th em field is the only thing effected by time thats why there is still video footage of current time (red sox game)
Ah I’m so confused… So both on and off the island travel through time at the same rate but going to or from the island is um……? nose bleed
I actually really liked it. And I mean your add on theory. I didn’t concentrate and test out your math as I don’t have the energy or desire to. Math makes my brain hurt after a long day. But definitely +1 for the idea that human extinction happened on the island and that the world will suffer the same inevitably.

the island itself is a failsafe, when the outside world ends, anyone on the island would have 31 minutes to do whatever
If you count up the skid marks on Hurley’s underwear (72) add them to how many times I dreamt of banging Kate (144) and then divide this number by 108 it = 2, which in turn are the amount of minutes I wasted reading this.

basically theses two timelines are not parallel or attached to one another. so there in the same time, but there not.the 31 minutes was only a factor multiplied by 108. it isn’t the offset of the island time. it only worked with the rocket

Am I the only one who feels like a sad baby when think upon quantum mechanics and Einstein’s theory of time relativity. Did you all see the words in Daniel Faraday’s note book? About Finkelstein Eddington’s coordinates? This proves the island has something to do with Einstein’s theory? I am so confused and… blubbering.
