You have to enter the numbers every 108 minutes or the world will end.
I know that everybody gets sick of the bad gateway message. When it first started popping up, after the owner had done some routine maintenance on the site, It seemed like it would take forever for the refresh button to work so that I could return back to the theory that I had been trying to read/comment I was trying to post/etc.
One day, another poster, sorry but I can’t remember who (I think it may have been Irocz28), posted that once you get a bad gateway message, if you will wait for the minute to change on your computer’s clock, then hit refresh, it usually takes you right back to where you were trying to go. This has worked almost every time since then. As soon as I get a bad gateway, I just wait for the minute to change, hit refresh, then I am good to go.
As the bad gateway messages have piled up over the months, I began to notice a subtle trend. On my computer, every time I get a bad gateway message, I would look at the clock at the bottom right hand corner of my desktop so I would know when to hit the refresh button. What I have noticed is that all the bad gateway messages occur when the clock is on the number 9, (i.e. 8:09, 10:29, 4:59, etc.) I believe that this occurs because every 10 minutes, Jcroft has to enter the numbers (4,8,15,16,23,42) into the server hosting this site or the site crashes. I think when he lets the time run low, we get the bad gateway message as sort of a final warning that the site will soon self destruct. So far jcroft seems to have been able to enter the numbers relatively quickly, at least quickly enough to prevent any further damage than the bad gateway message, but I am worried about what will happen if he is ever unable to enter the numbers.
If only there was a failsafe key that some brave soul could turn—hey it might let you jump around in time. Just remember your constant.

Sorry, not sure if you are referring to me or not with that. I have been hear well over a year, and I only theorize and comment when I have something to say. So I am definitely not a troll.
You do realize your reactions and others that react like you do to them is giving them what they want. They want to make people mad and to disrupt the site. As a long time LTer, I have seen many phases of newbie “landings” on the site, and with each crew of newbies there are a few nasty trolls. They only go away when they are ignored. When you respond, they just keep on doing what they do. They won’t leave until they get bored.
Just some advice, do what you want to do. I am just telling you what I have observed here over the last year or so.
