Beginning with the smoke monster: we learn that it has the ability to assume the form of a human, as shown in the season 3 episode called “The Cost of Living.” The monster takes the form of Eko’s brother, Yemi, then proceeds to kill Eko.
From an interview with “Lost” producers:
In the ”death of Mr. Eko” episode, it was my interpretation that the Monster was able to assume human form, i.e., Eko’s brother. Am I crazy for thinking that? And will we learn anything more about the Monster’s origins this season? lindelof: You’re not crazy. You will see the monster again this season. Its origins, however… well, you’ll have to wait. CUSE: Whether or not you learn more about it will depend on how obsessive you are. If you enjoy recording the program and studying individual frames, you might. But really, is that healthy?

CUSE mentions studying individual frames… A peer of mine had mentioned something very interesting about the scene in the episode of season4 in which abaddon visits Hurley in the mental hospital…as hurley is claiming that abaddon is after him and starts screaming, we see abaddon quickly depart…now going back to what CUSE said…if you study individual frames, you might be able to see the smoke monster in human form…i only had youtube to review the scene but those of you that have the episode recorded will probably have better looks at the scene.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-DGGvJ4dLZw as abaddon is leaving we see an unusually large “shadow,” for someone so thin, appear on the door…
also, abaddon had told locke at the hospital that he went on a nature walk and it changed his life, much like locke’s life-changing experience of getting him to reach his full potential…maybe that was abaddon’s life-changing experience..maybe not
but the again, if this smoke monster continually keeps appearing on the island then how is it that abaddon doesn’t carry out the mission he give to naomi on his own?
