I think this is all meaniful.
If Annie is anyone that we already know from the losties, it’s kate. Notice the freckles. Kate was on the island before - that’s why she is so good at tracking people on the island. Also - her middle name is Annie, and on the first full flashback episode “Tabula Rasa” we see Kate use the alias Annie. If that little girl Ben loved is anyone - it has to be Kate. Remember when he tried to wine and dine Kate in season 3. Think back. It all fits into place. Anyway, the “her” Ben speaks about is his mother. Juliet resembles his mother.
thats really interesting, but isn’t kate a little young? i always thought ben was older than kate, jack, sawyer, ect…
maybe kate is similar to richard who never seems to age
I would agree with tool about her being alittle bit young. But if there is time travel, then who knows right? lol. I think they are going to bring up those two wooden dolls somehow and thats where the Annie plot is going to start up. +1

what if Annie is Kate’s mom (her mother’s name is Diane, Annie could be a nickname) and Kate’s real father is Ben? That would mean Kate would have protection under Ben (the way Alex, as an adopted daugher, did not) and would be a player in the big Island chess game against Widmore.
If Ben started to hunt down Penny, Widmore’s daughter, then maybe Kate would be fair game for Widmore and she would be hunted…and Aaron in danger…
Just a thought.
