Yes, Abaddon’s crew (Naomi, Daniel, Miles, Frank and Charlotte) are on Widmore’s boat. That much we know, or we think we know. But is Abaddon really working for Charles Widmore? My theory is that Abaddon is not working for Widmore and very much has his own agenda.

Widmore’s agenda (at least through the eyes of Keamy) seems to be to find the island, destroy the island, and to capture and or kill Ben. Abaddon’s agenda seems to be to find the island, send in his own team of scientists to research the island’s properties, and to protect the island, i.e. Abaddon’s conversation with Locke.

He may have agreed to Widmore’s demand of “capturing Ben” in order for his team to have access to his boat and his ability to “find” the island. He’s very much unaware, as is his team, that Widmore is willing to kill everyone on the island and on the boat to get what he wants. It’s clear after “Cabin Fever” that Keamy and his “hit men” are the only ones willing to carry out Widmore’s orders.

    Hi, Alice1

I agree with you that Widmore and Abaddon seem to have different agendas.

However there are a couple of things that confuse me: Miles and Charlotte seemed to be very intense in their dislike of Ben, and Ben did shoot Charlotte, meaning he felt that his life was threatened by her.

These kind of support a “Widmore” twist to the story they heard. Having said that, Miles did offer to be “bought” by Ben….

Another thing is a hint that Abaddon seems to have entered the game of the “island” after the walkabout he had (and told Locke about, how it changed his life), unlike Widmore who seems to have a long history with the island. It’s very likely that whatever he found out, caused him to seek Widmore and become attatched to him, with or without an extra “agenda”.

So, in short, my take is that Abaddon does not have the same agenda as Widmore, and he’s not in the plan to kill everybody, but I can’t support that he is definitely not working for him… Kaptain Gault was working for Widmore, he said so, but was also unaware of the violent protocols that Keamy had…

I think Richard, Jacob, and Abaddon all came on the black rock. Abaddon might have been one of the slaves on board.

Has Keamy ever said who he is working for? I assumed it was Widmore, but I’m not sure anyone has said definitively who Keamy is working for. Gault and Keamy did seem to have completely different agendas, as do Keamy and Abaddon’s team. Good points.

    lockeko,

Keamy seemed more than willing to follow Widmore’s orders without question, making this comment to Gault: “Widmore’s a very smart man.” So yes, I think Keamy at least thinks he’s working for Widmore.

    Tony1,

Thanks, I didn’t remember that about Gault.
