I do believe that the island of Atlantis has been found. And it is no longer LOST.

— galacticdefense

Atlantis was a great city of many powers. That was lived on by a superior race of super-humans. The Island was “LOST” in a great flood and sank to the bottom of the ocean. But perhaps the Island was moved because the outside world had found it .

Erich von Daniken states that a believe that Atlantis was an island that was built by extraterrestrials. These extraterrestrials mated with human females and produced a super race. Thus hence the uber-technology on the island. The gates to the island of Atlantis where guarded by two incredibly large statues of warriors. Which would explain the giant 4 toed foot statue. Human /ET mixed race? And it was also believed that the fountain of youth was housed in the main TEMPLE on Atlantis. Which would explain how Richard stays so young. Coming and going on and off the island would be as easy as a flying machine. UFO. Maybe someone else here on the site could get a little deeper into this than I have.

I think perhaps this island has served as a mystical place for every civilization there has been on earth. It was one thing to the Greeks and their mythology and another thing to whomever came across it and all throughout time it has been moving around and getting discovered and became a part of lore.

Just a thought I’d like to turn into a full theory…

I started going off this at the word ‘Atlantis’. Then you threw UFOs into the mix. Not for me. Other people may eat this stuff up, but I’ll pass.

I first liked the idea of the island having something to do with Atlantis, but not anymore. Plus, we haven’t been given any hints on the island being atlantis. Only the four toed statue. Which, the producers said, originally should have had 5 toes.

    pass for me too

    especially THIS ONE:

If you find anything else, please post it.

The different race would also help to explain, dang it now I forget who it is, but one of those Hanso guys had some sort of anomaly re: his blood.

Nobody else seems to be buying this idea, but I do and I’m not disappointed. I think it’s a cool notion to have a plane full of people crash down on Atlantis. Some people indicate that this is too simpleminded, but I don’t think so. It’s what you do with it — and they are doing a lot with it.

If we’re right, I hope everyone else isn’t disappointed.
