The Lost characters such as Jack and Kate say and act weird in the first episodes, like they have been there before…
If you watch walkabout at around 36 minutes Kate says something weird, she is talking about Locke to Jack and then she says “what’s going on over there?” Jack quickly tells her that they are having some sort of ceremony and burning the fussel lodge. some other dialogue takes place and Jack sees his dad while Kate is saying
“That’s good. I just don’t think they’re ready to hear about some of the things we’ve… ”
Is she talking about the monster and the pilot getting eaten or something else?

Myself, as well as many others have hinted at this before… Have a few of the Crash-site Losties…. already been there before? My theory that isn’t really supported by strong, concrete evidence is: When Jack wakes up on the beach (first 10 seconds of first pilot episode)… He is actually doing the same sort of time-travel or teleportation thing that Ben does into the desert in the Shape of Things to Come. I feel that a few of the losties time traveled back to the beginning of the crash to “FIX” things.
If thats the case it doesn’t seem like they learned much from their first experience.
or maybe its the fact that FATE is driving all the outcomes on the Island and no matter what they do differently, they cannot manipulate the course of the Island.
maybe that is why little locke is drawing pictures of smokie because he remembers from his previous life which is also his future life. that might be why richard gets angry because he knows he can’t change anything.
i saw one theory that said that the losties are going to travel back in time and become the first dharma people …. hurley makes the valenzetti equation, sayid builds the computer that he later fixes, charlie makes the musical code ect.
