This if my first post so please be kind…

Anyways, I strongly believe “Cabin Fever” provides certain answers that we have been awaiting. First, I truly believe Aaron is the next in line to be the “chosen one”. Think about it…

Locke looks over Aaron constantly throughout the first few seasons, even as going as far as building his crib! He also protects him from Charlie, when Charlie becomes addicted to drugs again, and etc.

I also believe Claire is dead. I think at this point it is a safe assumption that seeing someone deseased on the island is a pretty common trend among anyone who ends up on the island. That would explain everyone’s interactions with her after the cabin explosion, which is what I believe caused her death. Obviously I can draw that conclusion off of the way Miles awardly looks at her in the previous two episodes, as well as her unexpected presense in Jacob’s cabin. I expect this to be fleshed out more in future episodes, but I stand by my theory!

Third, it has now become obvious why the Oceanic 6 are the only 6 that got off the island. Sayid needs to sail the boat back to the frieghter. Sun must leave so she doesn’t die at child birth. Sawyer must give Aaron to Kate to take back and raise back home. Jack probably gets an infection from his appentectomy, and must leave despite I’m sure not wanting too. Now Hurley I believe somehow will travel in the same manner as Ben and Richard do. Honestly though Hurley is the only one I am a bit unsure of. Again though I’m sticking to it!

Last but not least it also explains why Jack can not find the island anymore. Locke obviously suceeds in moving it! Why else, with so many people knowing the old course bearings to get on and off of it at this point, can no one find it in the future!

P.S. Would you be surprised if Abbadon is Jacob? Didn’t think so, me either:-)

I agree with most of this. Good post. Aaron definitely has a special tie somewhere. We already know that his grandfather and uncle both have a history with the island and it is not far-fetched to think Aaron might have a future dealing with our beloved island.

I just don’t want Sawyer to die!

Although you’re kinda stating the obvious, these theories are in tune with my thoughts while watching the episode. The infection from Jack’s appentectomy would perfect sense as to why Jack would leave the island (probably unconscious, against his will).

Also, after watching this episode, is has also crossed my mind that Abbaddon could possibly be Jacob, but so has the thought that Horace could be Jacob. Only time will tell.

this theory makes sooooo much sense. Thanks! +1

The only part of this that I don’t agree with is that Jack leaves involuntarily. Last week he reminds Kate that “he saved her” and “Sawyer chose to stay. . .”

The thought that Aaron is next in line is an interesting one. As someone noted in another thread the similarities between Ben and Locke are many including mothers who did not raise them. Now it seems that Aaron will not be raised by his mom either.

I think you picked the wrong time for a first post.

    Ah, faithnben, that is true.

Maybe Jack believes he’ll only be able to be with Kate if Sawyer was out of the picture. But, I thought he had something with Juliet, which would mean she is either dead, or still on the island.

I don’t know if i believe Claire is dead, Christian on the other hand is probably the walking dead, The baby is significant as it will live to play the game next. Abbadon as Jacob.. Hardly, Why not Richard as Jacob? They both saw him off the island, Abbadon has not been shown in an Ageless fashion like Richard.. and why would abbadon send Niomi to the island? To test John to see if he can thwart the attack?

    Lmao… +1 … I AGREE with everything in your post EXCEPT…..

Abaddon is in no way, shape, or form Jacob… He’s with Widmore, and is the one who directly sent Naomi and faraday etc. on their mission to the island. Rest is very possible

Also, Hurley travels with jack n kate and everyone because he screams “I’m one of the oceanic six!!” in ep 1, season 4 after getting out of the car.

I think if Abaddon was Jacob then why would he need to ask Hurley if they are still alive. Surely Jacob would both understand who the they was as well as knowing the answer.

If you watch the preview for next week’s episode, Jack looks fine and appears to be wearing a suit. Is it possible that a middle man intercepted and fueled their rescue in exchange for island protection?

Now Hurley I believe somehow will travel in the same manner as Ben and Richard do. ” Whatever you are smoking, stop posting when you are at it.

Hurley has to be at the scene of the rescue of Oceanic 6, dummy.

yeah, abbadon is clearly not jacob… if jacob is galavanting around in a suit making people uncomfortable with his evil eyes, why would he need ben/locke/aaron/whoever-the-newest-“leader”-of-the-island-is to do his bidding? sense = not made.
