Anyone think the writers have taken on too many storylines.
Season 4 has been jumping around between all the different groups of characters. And it’s gotten to the point where they either ignore them completly (the others), give them one episode every 4-6 episodes (desmond) or just kill off all the character (danielle, carl, alex).
Don’t get me wrong I still think season 4 is fantastic, but its getting annoying to know that lost will kill off whole storys just like that. We wait 3 seasons for alex and danielle to meet and bang they’re both dead.
I hope that season 5 will try to bring the storylines back together so there’s only 2 or 3 main storys tops.
What do the rest of yous think?
(extra question- do you think we’ll ever get a danielle flashback nows she’s dead?)
I have no idea where they’re going with it, but I also don’t think being dead means they’re cut out necessarily.
I did think last night was a little too much Jack and Kate play house together. They could’ve trimmed that back.
Well we have to remember the strike. I’m sure the writers wanted to do more, but then the strike happened, and now they are trying to squeeze a lot of plot in a little amount of time. Thus, some story lines were likely cut short. I’m sure we will learn more about Danielle, Carl and Alex. Alex’s death is playing a huge role in the story, so it was necessary.
Each season of Lost is like a different chapter. Right now this chapter is about the Jack/Kate relationship as well as how they get off the island. At the end of this season we will take a little peak into the next one, which will involve development of other characters.
They did indicate last night that Sawyer made the CHOICE to stay on the island, but we haven’t seen a single flash forward with the people who stayed. It’s not like these characters are getting forgotten or left behind, just that the writers want to save that chapter for another season. Perhaps we’ll get a peak into the future on the island by the end of this season.
i think there was too much jack and kate stuff too. darlton have said that cos there are less episodes, its gonna be action packed and there will be no fillers. imo, this was a filler.
yeah, i guess there are too many storylines going on. and the worse thing is there are so many different groups - team jack, team locke, frieghter crew, and now team sawyer - that every episode misses out at least one group. thats what bugs me.
I hope we get a Danielle flashback but it seems pretty unlikely. It would be great to see her have to kill her whole party.
