All ya need to know about 4X10, just an observation about nice things at home………..you know like……..relationships!
Something nice back home:
Was really all about….Kate and proper women, who, as per usual, drove Jack into alcoholism and drug addiction because ………………….. …………………..men fight over women and the one who loses or at least thinks they lose (you baby Jack she accepted the proposal!!) get depressed?????
Gotta love that timeless wisdom of lost writers re-inforcing social norms!!!
Anyways, next weeks looks a lot more interesting………….hope Sawyer doesn’t die.
Have fun for the next week trying to figure out LOST.

I think that Jack’s father is more responsible for Jack’s drinking problem. Jack’s father appears to use alchohol as a means of escaping reality so it should come as no surprise that Jack would also do likewise.
I don’t think that Kate drives Jack to drink. I think that Jack simply takes the easiest option.
I think these scenes just show that Jack is as obsessive and paranoid with Kate as he was with Sarah.
I was expecting a lot less from the writers this episode so I was impressed. I didn’t even mind seeing Kate cozying up with Jack.
+1 for hoping Sawyer doesn’t die.
@ wtfsignmeup write on the money, mate.Jack is exactly that.
BTW, Kate was talking to Sawyer’s ex, mother of his girl. Kate knows her, and his little girl is all that Sawyer could care about in the off-island world.
i dont think it was kates fault at all. she was being the perfect housewife and he ruinied everything. it was seeing him father that made him turn to drink and drugs. i really think it was in no way kates fault.
on a shipper note - he was paranoid, possessive, jealous (like with sarah), untrusting, and he proposed ONLY to be a father to aaron, and he was so cruel to her in the end. this is exactly why i dont/coild never ship them as a couple.
at least she is still loyal to the promise she made sawyer though! :)
Yep, Jack didn’t learn his lesson regarding relationships/marriage. You either trust the person, or you really don’t and you are waiting for something to prove your lack of trust. He started drinking rather than talking. Kate didn’t handle it so great either, but that is also true to her personality of going off and doing what she feels she needs to do without including anyone. “he wouldn’t want me to” is not a helpful comment when someone is sensitive about a past lover. So, I guess that means they are not really a good couple and things don’t work out for them. Was Jack’s calling for Kate during his surgery supposed to show his love/desire for her? And now that he’s off the island and he does have her, he blows it? Jack really blew it with that Aaron comment. Maybe Cassidy & Clementime will go to the island too and join up with Sawyer. Cassidy really loved him, maybe it will work out.
Well there you have it! Looks like Jack and his dad drove him to drugs and booze not SMokin’ Kate.
Jack is a bum.
No wonder the original story had him killed-off in the first episode.
Jack learned nothing from his experience on the Island, probably why he has to go back.
