I know the we’re dead thing has been debunked - of course. But what if they are not dead but the Losties are in a wierd situation like they could be considered dead in some way? I’ll explain.
First off - Hurley says thy’re dead and we have to realize that at this point he is not actually crazy. yes he is talking to Charlie who is dead, but he knows stuff that is true - like Jack will get a vistior and that he shouldn’t be raising the baby.
What if when Desmond forgot to type in the numbers in the hatch and the plane crashed that was not suppossed to happen. And when it did, the special qualities of the island duplicated or cloned the people aboard who still had a purpose to fulfill in like. Think of how Michael can’t kill himself. These people can’t die, but htey did. So before they all died in the crash, the island cloned them and put them on the island. That’s why jack was just laying flat up in the middle of the jungle. That’s why people are suddenly healed. This could be a possibility. Think of the orchid station with the duplicated rabbit that just suddenly appeared. The island could be doing this. If this were true it would explain a lot of things about what’s going on. Of course, it leaves out a few things. This does not explain time travel, the numbers, jacob, or the 4 toed statue. Let me know what you think.

I don’t really think they were cloned hehe. Cloning is a more extensive process than just being in a plane crash. I think separate time lines existing simultaneously is more likely than cloning.
This is the same kind of tease as Locke’s dad proclaiming they were in hell, and again when the freighter chick claimed they’d all died. They’re not dead.
SO LOST is a wacko version of Arnie the Gubernator’s the SIXth Day!
Seriously, you have to wonder about this comment! Yes, we’ve been told, but seriously, you have to wonder. Hurley specifically mentions the O6 as being dead. Perhaps this is where the different “time-lines” turn out to be very important.
All the passengers of Oceanic 815 are suppose to be dead in one time-line, the time-line of the crash.
The “survivors” of 815 are alive on the island, and only on the island. This represents the time-line of the island.
The O6 ARE dead off the island, but somehow operate in their “own parallel time-line” as if they were alive! Hurley recognizes this first, because of Charlie. Jack is beginning to recognize this because of Christian. Hurley was the first one of the O6 to say, “We need to go back to the island.” Jack is beginning to get the picture; eventually Sayid will figure it out as well (because of Nadia) then Sun (because of Jin) and Kate (because of Claire.)
Just a thought, but I can’t help think Hurley is telling the truth!
the island did do something to duplicate them or make them exist in different time lines. The island is working its same magic with the freighter and here is proof.Frank the helicopter pilot tells Daniel when there on those special phones that if Minkowski answers the phone hangup. And this is after he is dead.So how can Minkowski the ships communications operator answer the phone if he is dead unless the magic of the island has also duplicated the freighter. Also we have the dead doc. wash up on shore. But when Daniel asks about the doc. they say that the doc. is fine. Now the only answer I can think of is duplication. We know that weird stuff happens when you even just get a little bit close to the island.
