How did Keamy and his men survive Smokies rampage?
By the looks of it, only one of his men is injured. I find it very hard to believe they escaped so easily.
I can understand that widmore and the freighter people wouldn’t look like much of a threat, if most of them were killed just like that, but I hope they give us an explaination how smokie could fail to kill them all (maybe like they have some kind of gadget that repels smokie or something).
I don’t find this so hard to believe. I mean I guess if you assume smokies sole mission in life is to kill people then it’s hard to understand, but we’ve seen him not kill Eko during their first meeting, and not kill Locke before that. Obviously he just went in to scare them, or maybe they were able to hide. Either way I don’t think it’s really a big deal or hard to understand.
Maybe the smoke was just set on “stun.”
What about what he did to the pilot? or, i guess what Ben did to the pilot? Smokey should have done that! This is the one time smokey should have really sunk his Predator-style teeth in. After all he killed lil Alex. I agree, it doesnt make much sense, Smokey shoulda finished em off.
Again I don’t know what dosen’t make sense. So you find Alex to be a good person and that means smokie should have felt the same way and killed the other guys? Obviously it didn’t want to, or possibly couldn’t. Are you suggesting this is some sort of plot hole, or do you just wish it happened differently?
chrisleerooks - smokie doesn’t always kill people, but if I remember there was alot of screaming and gunfire, so it sounded like smokie was defiently on kill mode that time.

yeh, i agree, i was very dissapointed with this! i don’t have a clue what smokey is about because i’m not that clued up on the theories about him but the noises and suggestions of something violent occuring suggested something brutal. i think the writers (unless they explain smokey and it’s a really good reason why he didn’t kill or even injure more) are just struggling to introduce more characters to the island, who they will probably need for the next few series so it wouldn’t make sense to kill them all off like they did with the others, except ben and juliette.
