It would be very easy for Dan, a chemist( physicist??), to poision Jack, without killing him.
I think they did it, b.c there will be a time when Char and Dan, are going to need some help, so they want the surivivers on their side, so by getting them to Trust them, they: poisoned Jack, so that when Juliet knew he needed surgery, Char and Dan, will be there to get the right tools. It would be a good way for the survivers to learn to trust them, after the 2 save there leader. How else would Jack, just happen to get sick? He himself also thought it was poision. It would aslo explain what Rose said, The island heals. It is not the islands fault, it its char and dans. you CAN get sick once on the island, but if you come ON the island sick, then it will heal you.

Dan is a physicist
i’m far from an expert but appendicitus can occur in anyone at anytime, usually a person will have it removed if they have an operation around that area anyway because it is useless and if it ruptures you can die. it is usually caused by swelling which occurs from unhealthy featal matter that causes inflamation and irritation of the appendix. i’ve googled it and there seems to be no apparrent way it can be caused other than a person’s bodily functions and bad luck. of course the real question, as rose points out… how (or why) did he get sick on an island which cures?
Yeah… plus I don’t think they really earned a whole lot of points by getting the tools…
yeh i meant to add, it wasn’t really a big deal when they got the right things, i don’t think it was even pointed out, it just wasn’t stated that they didn’t and plus if the english woman understood Korean they’d know not to mess with Jin haha
Yeah besides they had guns on them while they were procuring the tools…….so it’s not like they were proving their loyalties hehe.
I don’t think Ghostbuster Miles and the Scientist team of Fararday and C.S. Lewis had any flucing clue what was really going on with their colleagues on the Freighter and the Island.
Hope Miles, Faraday, and Sawyer don’t get killed-off……..and Hurley too!
They seemed to know that they weren’t going to rescue them though. They’re not the same as their colleagues, but they’re still up to no good. Maybe it’s not even ill will. Maybe it’s just what they know about the island that the lost ones don’t.
