It’s a little unrealistic to think that the island has any magical powers that can prevent Michael from killing himself, it’s more likely that someone is blocking all his attempts; and that someone….is Anna.
The first time Michael tries to get the job done, he hops in his car, ties a note to himself and drives 400mph into a dumpster. Then, when he wakes up in the hospital who does he see? Anna, dressed as a doctor. I think that Anna performed a miracle surgery (much like the one Jack performed on his ex-wife) to save Michael’s life. Jack probably taught Anna how to do the surgery when they were on the island together and now that she’s off, she knows how to do it.
Notice how when he saw her he blacked out and then didn’t wake up until that Spanish nurse came in? I bet while he was blacked out Anna swapped out the gun he bought at the pawn shop with one that doesn’t work. I mean, how else would that gay guy know that the gun was “jammed.”?
I think that Anna is on the boat to stop Michael from killing himself too. She’s the one who diffused that bomb and put that note in there that said “Don’t do it yet.”
My guess is that we will see our little blond friend a lot more than we think. Maybe she killed Alex and Roussou????
OK - lets all be gentle with this one :)
The blonde girl you are calling Anna and is infact named Libby - i honestly believe the show would be pushing it by allowing characters who are clearly dead to come back to life and do what your suggesting - personaly that would ruin it for me, time travel is one thing, but resurextion??
On the point of swapping the guns in the hospital, Michael didn’t have the gun when he was in the hospital, he swapped his watch for a pistol and almost simultaneously tried to kill himself down an alley.
I do however agree, Tom’s suggestion that the island ‘wouldn’t let it happen’ is a bit to mystival - what does everyone else think?? However, i did hear the island esque voices in the engine room before michael attempted to set off the bomb, perhaps the island is growing outside of its physical area?
Seriously man, a car can not go 400 mph! That’s impossible in this world.
I meant 400 Kilometers.
You start this post by saying “It’s a little unrealistic to think that the island has any magical powers that can prevent Michael from killing himself.”
You then argue that what is realistic is a ghost of a dead woman acting as a force to prevent Michael from killing himself, as though that’s more reasonable.
I don’t think it is.
Travelling at 400 kilometres an hour in a car like Michael was driving, with the run-up he had, isn’t reasonable either. I suspect you don’t drive much.
I’m sorry Dario Andredi. Maybe I don’t drive much but you don’t have to be an A-H about it. And Anna is not a Ghost, she was really there, so I don’t even know what you’re talking about.
He’s just baiting us. No one who watches the show can be that ignorant.
all about alpert: did we watch the same episode cause you seemed to have twisted everything. yes i also heard whispers just before Libby appeared behind Micheal in the Engine room. I think she’s working for widmore and thats why she doesnt want the Freighter blown to bits… is she like Harper and Ben’s mother?! i don’t know. Can she appear even in death?! i don’t know. Does she work for Widmore and can she possibly be Elizabeth Widmore?! Possibly.
Canadakev I thtink Libby in the engine room was smokie. Notice she told him not now and so did the note when he tried. Ben definately has some connection to smokie. I believe Ben is able to project through smokie his thoughts. Smokie is just another control device used by Ben, remember that even Juliette is afraid of it. Maybe it helps keep whoever Ben brings to the island in line. P.S. Aaron is one of the Oceanic 6.
I actually do think that some people can be that ignorant….-1
400 kph would be about 200 mph, and that would be far beyond the limits of the ‘70’s boat of a car that Michael was driving. It might be able to do 120 mph max. Anyway, I think the show mentione it was more like 80 mph, which is within reason.
As for the loaded revolver refusing to fire… it’s one of the many unexplained physical phenomena on the show, and at thispoint I have little faith that writers ever intend any more explanation other than that it’s due to supernatural forces.
Dude, seriouslly…Jack teaching her to do an operation? come on!!!!!!! a car driving 400km/h? if im correct-NO car that can be driven on normal roads(you get the idea, like only a f1 racecar or some other racecar) can drive that fast!!!! And her name is Libby for god’s sake!!!!!I hope your not serious and only screwing with us. -1
