Why would Ben have that tape?
— AllAboutAlpert
Penny’s dad (or Peter Wittmore for those more dedicated fans out there) is a very rich and powerful man who is connected to the island in more ways that one. His daughter, Penny, is in love with one of the survivors; he was at that auction buying the Black Rock painting, and Ben has that video of him throwing that guy in his car. Why would Ben have that tape? I think that Wittmore has a lot more riding on this island that we had previously thought, even the name ‘Wittmore” is allegorical for his cunning superior knowledge.
I think that he probably is working with someone to 1) find the island 2) get Ben 3) figure out a way to get to the island 4) stop Penny from marrying Desmond
I think that Wittmore is probably the reason why Desmond is on the island and the more times we see him in the show, the more will know about his character and his involvement in the show.
Stating the obvious…nice.
It’s Charles Widmore, BTW.
HaHa ! I like how you went to great lengths to say “or Peter Wittmore for those more dedicated fans out there.”
I don’t know which was worse. The fact that you got both his first and surnames wrong, or that you don’t seem to realize that if you’re on this site posting, browsing, whatever, then you’re 94.8% likely to be a devoted fan.
Interesting . . .
Also, he bought a journal, not a painting.
