Locke being played the fool yet again
— Veefre
The next two episodes will be “Meet Kevin Johnson”, and “Bakir”.
“Meet Kevin Johnson”, episode 4-8, centers around Michael, who has returned to the series as a crew member aboard the freighter Kahana, using the alias Kevin Johnson. Interestingly, the name is the same as that of an obscure British mockumentary that chronicles the life of a man named Kevin Johnson who mysteriously disappears.
Naomi is also listed as a character, in addition to Libby. Unclear if these are flashbacks or apparitions if they’ve arisen as if from the dead.
In “Bakir”, episode 4-9, both Sayid and Ben show up in a middle eastern location, perhaps Tunisia, perhaps Iraq. The set is being constructed in Honolulu on a school campus so there will be plenty of sightings reported in blogs etc.
The fact that Ben shows up with Sayid in the middle east lends credence to my earlier theory that Ben wants off the Island to do battle with his presumed enemies. With the submarine sunk, the only way for him off is the freighter. Or some other vessel. Remember, captivity by Locke was “exactly where he wanted to be”. He knew, sooner or later, he’d be sent off the island in some sort of trade, with Locke being played the fool yet again.
According to Harold Perrineau, who plays Michael/Kevin, Michael does indeed get home to New York, which would mean he’s the last to be ID’d as one of the Oceanic Six (Jack, Kate, Hurley, Sayid, Sun, and Michael).
Perrineau says the Bakir episode is so jam packed that it was like filming a movie.

Vefree, the impression I got was that Michael had already made it back to New York…between his time on the island and his time on the freighter. I’m just assuming, (and you know what that makes me ),that Michael isn’t part of the 6. I guess we will know next week.If we get a flash forward he is one of the 6…if its a FB of his time since he left the island, Im guessing not. I think Michael will be one of the Losties left behind on the island at the end of this season. I think Walts probably in New York, but i think that both Michael and Walt are using false identities.(more assuming:)
if Michael is not one of the oceanic-6 then he either has to die or stay on the island. being one of the oceanic-6 would bring alot of notariety and he could not be using a fake identity. but if he is one of the oceanic-6 walt would either be dead or still on the island because there would then be an oceanic-7 if he weren’t
DarkUfo says the 06 are all accounted for , although I don’t think he knows much more than us.

Oh god … this is ridiculous.

Ha, sorry you think it’s ridiculous, but these are from rather reliable sources. Time will tell if you need to revise your judgements.
“According to Harold Perrineau, who plays Michael/Kevin, Michael does indeed get home to New York, which would mean he’s the last to be ID’d as one of the Oceanic Six (Jack, Kate, Hurley, Sayid, Sun, and Michael). ”
Wouldn’t the Oceanic Six be Jack, Kate, Hurley, Sayid, Sun, and Baby Aaron?
“Wouldn’t the Oceanic Six be Jack, Kate, Hurley, Sayid, Sun, and Baby Aaron? ”
No, because the producers in a recent audio podcast ruled out Aaron as one of the six.
Casting pearls before swine.
Anyway, I’ve seen a photo of an interior shot of the Middle Eastern set for “Bakir” (4-09). On a wall, in a place of honor, is a painting of Saddam Hussein. This leads me to believe that at least part of the action takes place in Iraq. The set is located at Honolulu Community College, and the exteriors resemble that of a war-torn city. Because of the Saddam painting, I figure it is a flashback to sometime between Desert Storm and the 2003 invasion. But perhaps it’s a post-2003 scene as well, a flash forward, since perhaps some Iraqis still honor Saddam.
Give up Veefre - you really are a rubbish poster
michael is definitely not one of the O6… he and walt were there before them, and were living under assumed names to hide the fact that they were on the doomed oceanic flight… even his mother doesn’t know where he and walt were for the months he was missing… if people know he was on the flight he would have to explain where the other survivors are, and he DOES NOT want to do that…
