Heres the probable rescue and ending of the show. We leave off finding Micheal as Ben’s spy on the boat and a dead Jin (yes he’s dead, don’t usually cry over people that are just far away on an island, and he dies on the island before the rescue, hence his Sept. 22 death date) We have a near complete list of the O6. Jack, Kate, Hurley, Sun, Sayid and Aaron, the baby perhaps not counted because he isn’t on the manifest. If it isn’t Aaron, there is a VERY short list of other people that it could be. Rose, Bernard, Sawyer, Locke, Claire and possibly Micheal (without Walt- I think not), but I find all to be very unlikely.
So, here we go. Michael, Des and Sayid manage to overthrow or subvert the boats crew to get back to the island. Once back, Michael, working for Ben because Ben has some hold on Walt, discusses a plan of rescue with Jack that isn’t really much of a rescue plan at all but another ploy by Ben. Jack’s shoddy implementation of this plan leads to Claires death, maybe by Micheal (hence Kate not wanting to go to his funeral) This explains Jack’s unwillingness to see Aaron at later dates. Its most likely that Jack, Kate, and Sayid some how cause Jin’s death as well, leading to Hurleys “good” comment. Its also possible that Sun and Hurley are simply guiltriden by the O6 lie and were forced into it by the other three. The O6 end up striking a deal to get off the island leaving the rest and agreeing to remain silent about it. Ben obviously makes it out, recruits Sayid with his guilt and willingness to protect his friends (on the island or off?), and begins his revenge against those on the outside working against him,

I think it’s a good possibility. But maybe the boat people actually get the island, and Ben is forced to leave as well, or die. So he leaves the island, and recruits Sayid to help him get the island back, and perhaps save his friends who are left in hiding on the island(hence why that black dude wants Hurley to tell him where they are in the mental hospital). Just and idea. I’m still lost.
I think the guy at the mental hospital wants the information on the DI and the whereabouts of the island for scientific purposes. I dont believe he is after the Lostees.
