The small boat that Walt and Michael used to head to be picked up after Ben promised to release them hasn’t been found and isn’t on or near the freighter.

I believe that Michael either swam to the freighter leaving Walt to captain the boat back to the island to help save their friends or Walt escaped on the boat. Either way, the boat isn’t moored next to the freighter and we have seen plenty of overview shots of the freighter to see the boat. Moreover, Syaid or Desmond would’ve seen the boat and asked to use it to get back to their friends. That boat is no where to be found.

Walt is on the island and took the boat with him. We’ve seen Walt on the island (whether or not it’s a hallucination, we don’t know) and without Walt, Michael could pull off his fake name and new character as a simple janitor who’s clearly sabotaging everything. It can’t be Walt as where would the boat they took of the island be located then?
