This topic hasn’t been brought up in a while and i’m on this site alot and haven’t seen this theory.

I really think it could have been Charlie’s eye. Think about it: the whole episode was about Hurley seeing dead Charlie. It would make the most logical sense based on the whole plot of the episode.

It wouldn’t be much of a surprise if that’s who he saw in the cabin window..why was he in the cabin? i don’t know..but it’s probably why he got so scared. Charlie was dead and then he sees his face out of nowhere. the same way he reacted in his flash foward when he saw him in the store.

    Some how I don’t think Hurley’s reaction in the flash forward would have been quite so dramatic if he was already familiar with the concept of seeing dead people? or maybe it just took him buy surprise coz he didn’t expect that kind of weirdness off the island…

    i mean personally i don’t see why it wouldn’t have been Jacobs eye.

    You know what i find curious though, is how much EYE there is in lost….first season was riddled with open shots for the episodes starting on ECU of the eye…
