When there are too many plot twists it ruins everything.

I got a theory for you allright…
Don’t get me wrong, my fellow lost-fans, I, Boris, am too a big fan of the show, and spend a lot of time thinking about it. I even look kinda like Hurley! I love the show! But it does not make any sence! Polar bears running around on the island is strange and crazy, even kafkaesque perhaps. But isn’t “it’s the 10 y.o. kid who manifests polar bears!” for an explanation of this fact even more crazy? I can’t even count all of the twists! They just keep happening, but they do not complete the picture! They just make it even harder to understand, harder to like. For all of season 4. I just watch the show for the actors and their performance, not for the plot, because it’s stupid. Have you seen this last episode with Desmond? A plot for a sci-fi film that would’ve looked retarded even in the 70’s! Time travel for a plot! A phonecall to a girl to save one’s brain! And what’s the deal with this Walt dood appearing everywhere, and that super rich “i wanna exploit the island and show Lock to faithfull people” guy? And that brittish redhead chick? They just make stupid twists that make no sence,. and add characters that are totally lame like that asian dood - the ghost whisperer. No Monster and Jacob plot line extension, no nothing! You know what? They do it for the money! They prolong the show with stupid twists and characters to make money for as long as possible, and that’s terrible. There was real inspiration floating in air when the show started, but now it’s all like a mechanism - in the begining something strange happens, then there’s a plot, then there are subplots, one of which opens a peace of some long forgotten mistery like why Henry sent Gudwin to his death by a stick in the torso, and then there is a happy conclusion to the main plot of the episode, and a cliffhanger for the next. It makes me sick! Come on people, if you don’t think that season 4 was totally gay and made without inspiration and interesting or fun moments, you are crazy and strange to me!
Thanks, and hello from Russia.

Na zdravlje,…….. you have the right to your opinion, but you obviosly havent seen the entire series. I love it myself, and find that it has allot to offer and is written very well, plus I love the characters as well. I guess you are either a Losty or not……….Chin Chin (with good vodka from the countryside…not the crap you buy in stores) = )
For a long time i was wishing the writers would get their butts in gear, less character stuff, more action. But I’m pleased with the faster pace the show has lately taken on. I realize now that the reason I “get” what I do get is due a lot to knowing the nature of the characters, from all that previous boring character development. Well, there’s no way the show can end up pleasing everyone because there’s so many different expectations. Good rant though.
we all have to bitch sometimes……yeah.. +1
Lost is the greatest show ever made. No check that. It is the greatest creative work ever made. Greater than any movie, anything. It is quite simply, mankind’s greatest achievement, even better than getting to the moon. The plot and the subplots and the twists are amazing. The characters are unbelievable. I can’t get enough of it. It’s like crack. Every Thursday I wake up and say to myself, “Today is Lost day. It’s a good day to be alive.” You sir, don’t know what the hell you’re talking about. That’s worse than saying saying bread sucks, or water sucks. In fact, I hope you don’t watch the show anymore if that’s how you feel. If you can’t appreciate the raw genius to it, than you don’t deserve it!!!
Well, Fadeus, I guess I am crazy and strange then, because I think this is the best season so far! And I loved the first three.
We all have a right to our opinions, but you are a bit harsh in voicing yours!
I gave up on Lost during its second season and vowed to never return. I thought a lot of the same things you thought, Boris.
Now, here I am - feverishly scouring the net for clues and theories from others, looking for things that I have missed, secret meanings and hidden clues. Its fantastic writing and completely enthralling. I came back at the end of the second season, and boy am I glad I did. There used to be some episodes I could take or leave … but nowadays, I have become so entagled in the web that is Lost, all the writers have to do is throw a few numbers on the tail of a helicopter and I am in love all over again — and up at all hours trying to figure it all out.
Hello from Washington, USA.
Today is Lost day. It’s a good day to be alive.….eversor
Priceless! :) Actually, I wake up a little happier on Lost day too.
Lost the best thing ever happened on tv.Screw the man walking on the moon…Love the lost!
Fadeus! Dude! I can’t tell you how many people I’ve seen lose interest in Lost due to character building! Its soo aggravating!! You have to know the past before you know the future! You’d be lost ( no pun intended ) if you didn’t know our characters backgrounds! I think if you are losing interest during the “slow” character building parts, you really aren’t paying attention! Stop and actually watch it! You’ll get excited to have a little more knowlegde about our lovely losties! Haven’t you ever heard ” Good things come to those who WAIT.” and I’m ready for my reward lol!
Oh and I have to agree! I wake up alittle happier on LOST days too!! I’m at work and people are like, “What are you so happy about?!” and I just smile and they are like “OHH Lost is today huh!?” lol! I love it! I LOVE LOST!!!! :) :)
