We don’t know who Ben’s contact on the freighter is: it’s Michael!

When Michael and Walt were allowed to leave the island, Ben gave them a heading of 325 and to stay on that course to “find rescue”. Spawning off the theory that the $3.200,000 Miles asked Ben for was a code for the bearing to and from the island, 3-2-5: 3.2 and 5 zeros. Moreover, Ben told Locke he’d want to sit down for what he was about to tell him would definitely be warranted as this would shake Locke up pretty bad. Ben knew the Kahana was out there at a bearing of 325 and probably gave Michael some other instructions, another stipulation to allow Michael and his son leave the island alive. It was always a little suspicious how Michael looked at Jack when he was leaving in the boat.

Also, the Captain of the Kahana has not been identified, not even referenced by name, the only member of the freighter not to have done so.

Bottom line: Michael is Ben’s contact on the freighter.

    Agreed.

We seem to mostly agree on this, but it’s about the 300th time the theory’s been posted!

I agree completely. Like stated earlier, this is a theory that has been going around for quite a while but I think the preview for next week’s episode pretty much confirms it. It says something towards the end to the effect of “someone you never expected to see again will return”.

Now c’mon… who else could that be?

That was my first thought too! So iam in! I saw on a trailer of episode 7 that Desmond and Sayid find a little note coming through a peephole in the door with: “Do not trust the captain” written on it….
