Before last night I was trying to figure out if “man on the boat” and the captain are the same person.
I don’t think so because the “man on the boat” wrote the note to Sayid and Desmond and obviously opened the door for them also. The note says “don’t trust the captain”…and to me it looks like a kid wrote it….hello Walt……..Maybe Walt is the “man” on the boat and Micheal is the captain. Could Walt have turned against Micheal? If Micheal is the “man on the boat” I have no clue who the captain is……….

It’s been already confirmed that the man on the boat is Michael. There is already photo’s out there with Michael, Sayid, & Des acting out on the ship.
I did not read this anywhere..sorry. But thanks for the info!!!
Michael may very well be on the boat, but it doesn’t necessarily mean he is the one passing on the info to ben. looking at other theories i’d stick with the theory that it is miles.
