I think that different coordinates off the island lead to different times.

This theory is based on the previous post located here.

The theory posted above got me thinking. Most of my theory is based off of it.
Daniel told Frank to make sure he exits the island through the same coordinates as he entered (305). I think this was to eliminate any possibility that anyone would exit the island and end up in a different time. Daniel knew this was possible.
However, the storm altered the route and because Desmond was exposed to all the radiation or electromagnetic activity (whatever it is) when the hatch exploded, he partially entered 1996. It did not affect Frank because he was not on the island when this occured and it did not affect Sayid because he was far enough away from the hatch when this happened. He was out on the boat with Jin and Sun. Also, Hurley, Ben, Jack, and Kate, were also far away from the explosion on the docks. I think this has something to do with the fact that they are allowed to (or able to) leave the island.
Also, remember when Ben told Michael to take coordinates 325 to leave the island. These are higher than the coordinates 305 that Daniel swears by. By taking these coordinates, Michael and Walt ended up in a time in the future, which is what explains Walts aggresive age growth. I think that different coordinates off the island lead to different times. Any thoughts???

Iroc i guess its possible, my take on the different bearing tis rather more simple it is just a different bearing for a different mode of exit. A boat exits at 325 safely and the helicopter at 305.
That said I still think Walt when he appeared to Locke is somehow projecting back from the future. This would obviously be diffent to what Des experienced because Des’s conscious went back or was dragged forward depending on perspective. Walt is no longer on the island so it must be something different as his conscious would not be able to get there without his body.

I have posted something to that effect here. I think the bearings are important also.
what about when desmond tried to leave on his boat and it just ended up back on the island. according to this theory he would have ended up in a different time.
