The conversation between Kate and U.S.Marshall in the plane, a moment before the crash: Kate:”I have one favour to ask” U.S.Marshall:”Really?This ought to be good” Then the crash: “adbg fh(@nbcf(hdfb&*&&^&^&!@Bd78327edu73bbooommmmmBOOOMM##UWAS Next day,on the beach,U.S.Marshall: “What was it?” Kate: “What?” “The favour.” “I don’t know what you talking about.” “Last night i heard before the crash, you wanted a favour.Well?” “I wanted you to make shure that Ray Mullen got his 23 grand”(the farmer who told police about Kate) I think that Kate is lying. If you watch that episode,i think 2 or 3 from season 1,you will see how Kate is making that up right in that moment.I think that the favour was something else.Could be nothing, could be everything.

I don’t remember this from the pilot. However, I don’t remember a lot of things. This statement sounds like she’s just trying to make a point that she’s not all bad and doesn’t bear any grudges. Since this was the first time we’re introduced to Kate, the writers probably wanted to make her appear more sympathetic.
I do remember it, but what you suggest she wanted to ask him? and how could it influence the story?
