Why patchy is dead?? He was inmortal, he survive the magnetic field, a kick ass beat by locke, a f*ing arpoon on his chest, but not a grenade under water??? Somebody explain this to me please!!
on lostpedia he is deceased, and the producer said he die…

Mikhail Bakunin is dead because he was within the blast radius of a grenade; nobody can survive a grenade explosion at such close proximity.
So you say that even if patchy was immortal or what ever, he die that easy… I need an other explanation please… a fing harpoon in his chest is as mortal as a fing grenade!!!!! sry the english… you don’t persuade me…
He wasn’t immortal, his situation was like Michael’s. He couldn’t die until his work was done. Earlier in season three, we learnt how Desmond was preventing Charlie from death. He was supposed to die trying to get a seagull for Claire, he was supposed to get shot with a harpoon in the chest and he was supposed to die after “flicking” a switch in an underwater Dharma facility.
Mikhail would have died ages ago, if Desmond didn’t prevent Charlie from dieing. Summing it up, the island didn’t want Mikhail dead, but it did want Charlie dead, so once the switch was flicked, Charlie died and Mikhail died.
