blah

I noticed this the minute it happened. Ok so the swan’s orientation tape was on a film reel and was projected onto a screen, like in the old days. The orchid video was on VHS, and an old 80’s style VCR. So what I’m saying is that the swan and the orchid were made in two seperate eras by Dharma, the doctor guy doesn’t age just like Richard, i always knew that he was in a whole bunch of orientation videos, and that his name was different in each one, but i just figured that they were all made in generally the same time period, so does anyone find this strange, seeing as how locke was known as jeremy. maybe all the different docs are like copies or something, i don’t know, just something i’ve noticed.

Good idea, though it could be they just put the film on tape later. Since the Swan was cut off from the rest they would really update it

Also, the introductory part of the film with the music and the logo was a lot “newer” than The Swan’s introductory part.

    Good observation, mate.

Indeed Dharma may have initially used the Orchid Station’s site for its original purpose, i.e. moving the island (using the Polar Bears as per several theories), and only at a later stage have built the station around it.

    Nice find!

I agree with rasty. The orchid station must have been constructed at a later date, that is if DI was using polar bears in the frozen room. Great observation Autopilot, I didn’t really think about the reels and the vhs tape. As for the different names, we know that Ben had numerous passports and given that the Dharma parka had Haliwax’s name on it, meant he did a little travelling as well so there is definitely something to the change in identity for time travellers. +1 for the observation

Actually, the Swan Orientation (at least the version we saw) has to have been the one that was the latest - as in that one the narrator had only one arm. All the other times we have seen him he has had two functioning arms.

(Unless you subscribe to the idea that these are all different people - but this is not a theory I align with.)

I agree with you that the swans film looks like older production and is an actual film, could be one of the first stations. Haliwax changes his name in the Pearl video because it is supposed to be the “Test station” the control test to observe the real stations. I like it +1

nice idea, but i do have to agree with angelo comet in that the swan film must be the latest, on account of the ole one arm trick.

+1. However not sure why you started with blah? There’s nothing blah about this observation. lol. Good eyes auto-p, good eyes.
