Cerberus is the Guardian to the “Underworld”

— Harford93

Do we all remember when Hurley finds the Apollo bars in the hatch? These Apollo bars share the same name as the Greek god Apollo.

He was born on an island, the second he was born it is said that a flock of Swans surrounded him as if to praise his birth. This is a similarity to the Swan station.

When he grew up he became a great warrior and his favourite weapon was a bow and arrow, this makes up the Arrow station. He also had healing powers and he used these powers trough a Staff, the Staff station is a medical facility.

He was a god of the sun, this could be a similarity to the Flame. He was also a god of the moon, this could be the Pearl station because the moon looks over us as does the sun and observations take place in both stations (They are both looking over the rest of the stations)

Now this is where the smoke monster comes in to these similarities.

It was said that there was a beast at the time of Apollo. Its name was Cerberus an anchient monster and Cerberus is written on the blast door map in the hatch several times. We have heard Kelvin use Cerberus as the name for the monster when he is talking to Desmond. It is said that Cerberus is Black and is Worm like, it is said that Cerberus is the Guardian to the “Underworld” (Rousseux said the Black Smoke was a security system). The Hatch showed Hyrogliphics on the clock right before Desmond turned the key. This was Later Translated to “Underworld”

So alot of the islands names and substances are similarities to Biblical events and Characters.
