this would explain the so called miracles, John walking, Rose’s cancer going, Sun’s pregnancy to name a few and maybe a chosen few can leave to do the islands work but have to return.

His name is Christian Shepherd, in the bible isn’t Jacob a shepherd and a christian.
Not really sure why a religous connection, but not really sure about anything at the momement. Maybe the islnd is a link between life and death, Jacob being the decider of certain peoples fates
