-I searched the theories, hopefully no one has proposed this yet, sorry if you have.

First of all, I know that the whole “they are all dreaming” theory has been debunked for quite sometime, and that is not what I am suggesting here. What I think may be possible, although I really haven’t thought it through too thoroughly, is that maybe the losties are inside someone else’s dream. Maybe Jacob’s?

As a super nerdy reference, I keep thinking about a Legend of Zelda game I played on gameboy way back in the day. In the game, Link crash lands on an island and has his usual quest. What made me connect it to lost is that the island is one giant manifestation of a dream. So I propose that maybe it’s possible the Lost island is simply a dream manifested into reality by someone/something very powerful. I would like to lean towards Jacob, but from what I have seen the other don’t tend to use Jacob’s name and the “the island” interchangeably when they personify it. All of the losties, others, dharma are very real, just inside this dream that you can enter and leave (with specific coordinates apparently).

Is it possible that the hostiles (original inhabitants) aren’t real, and just part of the dream, which may be why they don’t age?

Like I said before, I haven’t really thought this through in detail. I really don’t know how the whole time travel thing would come into play, or why the O6 have to come back.

Feel free to comment and pick apart my theory, or even ellaborate on it, it was just an idea I had that I figured I’d toss out there.

I suggested a little over a year ago, that it could be a dream, and the final episode will be like the finale of Dallas. Check it out, it was not a very popular theory. I like the idea though.
