what if…the island is the garden of eden?
..the whole jacob name thing got me thinking..biblical name..the island is sort of a paradise, perhaps the smoke monster is actually the angel set to guard the gates? are the others, specifically richard, seraphim? they don’t seem to be aging. lazarus was raised from the dead, and there seem to be quite a few dead people walking around the island. just a thought.
I’ll +1 it for originality, as far as I know its original. And I like the theory, although in reality it will not end up like this. Even with the amount of biblical references and what not, I doubt they would do this, it would tick off a lot of viewers.
I’ve read it a few times before but I could buy it.
Sure… The numbers predict the demise of mankind. Fate keeps the numbers on course. After mankind is destroyed, only adam and eve in the garden of eden survive to repopulate the world. They die… years later, Jack and Kate find their skeletons, and the whole sequence repeats.
I understand what you are trying to say, but your thoughts are all over the map. Generally Biblical references would tie into one main Biblical theme. Jacob was several generations after the Garden of Eden. Lazarus was thousands of years later. I just don’t see a cohesive thread here.
i came to this same conclusion too. i think that some of the stuff going on is not directly related to the fact that it is Eden. (ie. dharma, the black rock and mabey widmor) but i was thinking mabey the smoke monster is the angel that is guarding the “tree of eternal life” also mabey Ben’s people and windmor’s people are the opposing forces (light and dark) fighting to controll of the island. this is my favorite theory but i would be surprised if the writers acctually went this rout. garden of eden ftw. +1
