    Sunda Trench location: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sunda_Arc

Would mean they were travelling west, not east. And as sham pointed out to me, the compass logo at the Mawell corporation site has east and west reversed: http://www.the-maxwell-group.com/

Does that help with the problem of daylight when it should have been night at the time of the crash?

Maxwell—could be a pun for trench. I was also thinking that it might be associated with Penny? Max=More; Well=Wishing Well (Penny?)

Christiane I — Anne could be short for Christiane, the “I” could be the Roman numeral or could be a pronoun

Regarding the times: Re: the route and times of 815:

Here is Lostpedia’s page on Flight 815’s route: http://www.lostpedia.com/wiki/FlightpathofOceanic815. It addresses the distance factor more than time.

If they were heading NW toward trench from the start, then they would be following the setting sun. I’m not sure what time that would place the crash, but it looked like midday on the island.

It may be interesting to note the the Black rock sailed East from New Guinea instead of West which was the wrong direction if they were wanting to reach Africa as planned. http://www.lostpedia.com/wiki/Black_rock

    Re: Christiane I

Christiane appears to be the Scandinavian spelling of Christian. There was a Christian the First of Denmark http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christian_IofDenmark. Possibly a link to Magnus Hanso and the Black Rock?

Could it be the name of a ship or the freighter? Or the name of a person on the Black Rock?

Maybe it is an anagram that is the login and password to the Mawell site? http://wordsmith.org/anagram/anagram.cgi?anagram=christiane+I&t=1000

There is an Island just south of the trench called Christmas Island.

By the way, don’t for get to check Sam’s desktop for some goodies. This should be fun gang.

Jaz, I’m still strying to navigate the find815 site. The maxwell group site requires a name and password which I don’t have. I might require some enlightenment…

  4. shamballa Jan 1, 2008 11:11 a.m. Comment: 4

They may be saving that for chapter two ozzig, but trust me, I’m working on it. ;)

  5. jazprof Jan 1, 2008 11:15 a.m. Comment: 5

ozzig, I don’t think you can get into the Maxwell group site yet. The logo is just on that first page that asks for a password. How far have you gotten on the find815 site?

  6. nicked Jan 1, 2008 11:34 a.m. Comment: 6

maybe a little stupid…but how can i get passed chapter 1 ..haha… when i m on sams desk…i clicked and looked everywhere….but maybe not good enough??…

  7. shamballa Jan 1, 2008 11:48 a.m. Comment: 7

Hi nicked. I think it is set up to offer a chapter a week, but there may be more clues between now and then.

  8. nicked Jan 1, 2008 11:56 a.m. Comment: 8

ooo it just started?… it says at the right bottom: stories continues in 32 hours…so i think you”re right man!

  9. ozzig Jan 1, 2008 12:06 p.m. Comment: 9

I think I got through it now. iwas doing the same as Nicked.

  10. shamballa Jan 1, 2008 1:42 p.m. Comment: 10

Here is what is showing when I click on “my progress” and then on “chapter one”. Three greens in the emails, one green in the websites, one green in activity, and no reds. The rest are black and so are unreleased.

  11. labgo Jan 1, 2008 3:04 p.m. Comment: 11

Maxwell’s four equations are at the core of electromagnetism.

  12. wtfsignmeup Jan 1, 2008 4:35 p.m. Comment: 12

I keep getting a red square in activity. What have I missed?Found black rock and the emails. Found the maxwell group written in the coded email. Is there something I should have done with that?

  13. wtfsignmeup Jan 1, 2008 4:44 p.m. Comment: 13

Never mind , i figured it out.:)

  14. Mittelos Jan 1, 2008 4:57 p.m. Comment: 14

I also have a red square in activity… I’ll keep looking I guess.

  15. wtfsignmeup Jan 1, 2008 5:01 p.m. Comment: 15

Naomi said 815 crashed off the coast of Bali , this could be the Sunda Trench.

  16. wtfsignmeup Jan 1, 2008 5:02 p.m. Comment: 16

Mittelos, keep working on the photo.

  17. Annie79 Jan 1, 2008 5:26 p.m. Comment: 17

So ‘activity’ is her face? I swear I know every pore on her skin now!

I’ve got to go back and check my progress…

  18. shamballa Jan 1, 2008 5:55 p.m. Comment: 18

There aren’t any dates mentioned or shown besides the date of the flight. I wonder how long they searched for 815 and when all this is taking place.

I’m guessing that Sam and his new friends are instrumental in finding 815 at the bottom of the trench. I wouldn’t be surprised if Naomi’s and Penny’s name pop up.

How is your progress Annie and Mittelos?

  19. ozzig Jan 1, 2008 5:57 p.m. Comment: 19

Sham, I’m stuck on the face too. When we see what we think is wrong, we click on it right?

  20. Mittelos Jan 1, 2008 6:02 p.m. Comment: 20

I had already clicked on the 4 little texts on her face, yet the Activity square was still red… Anyway, I restarted everything from the beginning and now everything’s green so it’s fine. I’m not quite sure what I missed the first time, though.

  21. wtfsignmeup Jan 1, 2008 6:06 p.m. Comment: 21

Ozz, first zoom in on the area that you think might be a clue using the magnifying glass on the right of the screen then click on the texts on her face. Once you have all the photo clues, you are moved on to the second part of the activity.

  22. shamballa Jan 1, 2008 6:11 p.m. Comment: 22

Yeah, Mittelos. It worked like that for me too. I made sure I was logged in from the start and went through it again and everything was completed.

  23. Redginger Jan 1, 2008 6:39 p.m. Comment: 23

I went on the maxwell group site, i’ve tried to log in using the same login and password for the find815 site and it got me on a page that says:

Authentication Server Temporarily Down The server is currently being serviced. It is expected to be back in service by 02/01/2008 00:08:15 UTC

I guess we should be expecting chapter two by 02/01/2008 00:08:15 UTC

    hmmm 00:08:15 , those numbers!

  24. Annie79 Jan 1, 2008 8:32 p.m. Comment: 24

sham, I’ve got all green except for her face. I sent you another email, voicing my frustration!! Sorry about that. But it just seems that no matter how much I zoom in I can’t get the words to show up! And I know what the words are. grrrrrrr

  25. katesawjack Jan 1, 2008 8:49 p.m. Comment: 25

Annie: Ditto Heeelllpp Me?Can somebody Sham??/I have clicked all over her face ? What is supposed to happen I registered, Everything is green but the Activity??

  26. katesawjack Jan 1, 2008 9:35 p.m. Comment: 26

When you get to the story continues at the bottom right ,have you completed what you have supposed to?

  27. y2gatti Jan 1, 2008 10:14 p.m. Comment: 27

There is a small game on ABC’s LOST website. If you guys havent tried it check it out. Its related to the 815 website. Anyway, you have to arrange items in Sam’s backpack. Once you get it right, you get a clue for the game. I got the clue, but Im not sure how to use it. Im thinking it may be the username for the Maxwell site. I wont spoil, but If you wish to know what it is, let me know.

  28. Mittelos Jan 1, 2008 10:14 p.m. Comment: 28

Just a quick tutorial for those who can’t get everything green:

First of all, before you make anything else, make sure you register so your progress is saved. Then, log in and reload the page.

After the first video, when you see both photos of Sonya, click on the magnifying glass with a plus sign and keep zooming on her mole until you see “Black rock”. Click on the text, it should appear on a piece of paper. Then use the mouse to scroll up to one of her eyes, still zoomed in, and click on the text there. Scroll again to her other eye and click on the other message. Finally, scroll up to the top of her forehead, near her hair (again full zoom) and click on the final words. (Note: You can do this in any order.)

A new video should start where you see our new protagonist replying to the e-mail he just received (“Who are you?”). But as soon as the message is sent, he gets a scrambled/encrypted reply stating there is no such recipient. Once you get in control, scroll all the way down and you should notice an address (the-maxwell-group.com) on the right side. Click on it and you’re sent back to a final video. That should do it for part 1 of Chapter 1. When you get to the desktop, you can go back to the computer with the e-mails and a web browser, there’s a manifest with a few informations about some of the losties and finally, you can click on his cell phone, where there is no voice message yet.

That sums it up. With this you should get everything green.

Hey y2, I have looked all over ABC’s site for the “Pack Sam’s Bag” game and can’t find it. What am I missing here? Can you point the way?

  30. shamballa Jan 2, 2008 2:38 a.m. Comment: 30

There are a few new emails and a new web page on Sam’s laptop. Still part of chapter 1.

  31. shamballa Jan 2, 2008 3:20 a.m. Comment: 31

There has been some speculation on whether or not the Dec. 26th, 2004 tsunami that killed 225,000 people would play into the LOST story. Some sources say the producers have said it will.

I was trying to get an idea when LE2 (Lost Experience Two) is occurring and place it in the LOST time line, but hadn’t had anything to reference until now.

The web page of the Sunda Trench on Sam’s laptop doesn’t show the 2004 earthquake and tsunami that happened in 2004. However, a 2007 version of the page does show it. http://www.lostpedia.com/wiki/Sunda_Trench

So, Sam’s search must be taking place prior to Dec 26th, 2004 and before Naomi arrived on the island on Dec. 17th, 2004 given that her and Cooper both believe 815 was found.

If the island is located in the Indian Ocean then it definitely could be affected by the tsunami. If it is East of Australia and in the pacific then it would be unharmed. So the question remains… where in the hell is it?

Mittelos, thanks for the info, now I know what I was doing wrong. I was logged in but it wasn’t saving.

  34. Mittelos Jan 2, 2008 4:22 a.m. Comment: 34

    You’re welcome ozzig.

y2, the link just brings me back to ABC’s homepage. You’re sure you got that right? How did you find out about the game?

  35. shamballa Jan 2, 2008 4:25 a.m. Comment: 35

Same here y2. It takes me here http://abc.go.com/index.

  36. shamballa Jan 2, 2008 4:31 a.m. Comment: 36

Maybe they posted it prematurely and pulled it.

  37. shamballa Jan 2, 2008 4:41 a.m. Comment: 37

Mittelos, I have been checking on Lostpedia for any new info on FIND815. That’s where I read about the game.

  38. Mittelos Jan 2, 2008 4:59 a.m. Comment: 38

Just checked find815.com, there are indeed some new e-mails and a website. So “Christiane I” is a salvage vessel docked in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia. You can actually see it in the bottom-right corner of the map on the http://www.findinfoout.com website (which by the way doesn’t exist) on his web browser.

My first guess would be that “Christiane I” is actually Naomi’s boat. If the plane really crashed of the coast of Bali, the vessel could be headed there. The only problem is Sunda Trench, which is in the opposite direction, but pretty close nonetheless. Would Sunda Trench be considered “off the coast of Bali”? I doubt it.

  39. Mittelos Jan 2, 2008 5:07 a.m. Comment: 39

Ah, my mistake! After reading a bit more on Sunda Arc, I realized it covers all the coast of Indonesia, so it all works out fine, actually.

Could that boat be headed out to find the wreckage of the plane? Or is there another boat stuck there that they have to rescue? Could this be Naomi’s boat and if so, how did they get this information? I guess we’ll have to wait. By the way, Sam’s booking ref is #R7MKCH… perhaps the password to The Maxwell Group page?

  40. labgo Jan 2, 2008 6:27 a.m. Comment: 40

I’m trying to figure out the “tell no one - grave consequences” clue.

In my opinion this points to the phone number of Georgia Cavanagh at Oceanic Airlines (see Press release). Here is why:

The clue is positioned at the hairline in the photograph: airline

Tell no one - : Telephone number 1-

grave consequences : initials GC for Georgia Cavanagh

If you call 1-818-460-5520 Georgia answers the phone. It seems that you can also leave a message. A code to enter? I don’t know.

Or the number is used with the press release to find something, perhaps how to access the Maxwell group site.

  41. y2gatti Jan 2, 2008 6:29 a.m. Comment: 41

Thats weird about the ABC game, not sure why it isnt there anymore. Anyway, you just filled his backpack in the right order and it says here is your clue to help you in the 815 game. The clue was Matthew

  42. Mittelos Jan 2, 2008 7:14 a.m. Comment: 42

labgo, good observations. I’m not sure how it relates to the rest of the puzze though, since that number only gives us the website flyoceanic.com and then tells us to leave a message. You think it could still be hiding some secrets? I highly doubt they would go through the pain of having everyone leave messages on an answering machine, unless it is actually an automated machine whose purpose is to deliver another message to those who enter a certain code on the telephone. Anyone tried leaving a message?

  43. katesawjack Jan 2, 2008 8:48 a.m. Comment: 43

Okay,Guys& Gals: I went on the ABC website last night as well ,Thanks to y2’s info. Well I was able to fit it all in his Backpack except for one Item.So I thought I would go back to it .(not on ABC’s site now?) Anyway Thanks for the Matthew thing,I guess that was the clue.

I went on the “Lost 815” site just a bit ago & it is showing Stoy continues in 11:15. I am assuming that means 11pm today? I am also showing that as current black squares 2 on E-mail,1 video ,1 message & 4 on clue hunt. left total. Is that as far as anyone else has gotten?

  44. shamballa Jan 2, 2008 9:01 a.m. Comment: 44

That’s what I have too as far as progress KSJ.

Actually I think it is 11 hours and 15 minutes which for me is 9:00 p.m. EST.

  46. McMenace Jan 2, 2008 9:09 a.m. Comment: 46

hey guys, my first contribution, finally. the spot sam marks is between christmas island (not to confuse with kiribati in the pacific!) and java, in the sunda trench. also, if you look at the world map (in the sequence after finding the clues on the photo) it has 4 or 5 thin red lines going from sydney to all directions. one of them ends up there, too. plus, have another look at the maxwell logo. as s.o. pointed out, east and west are reversed. if you look closer, there’s another mistake: the numbers 1 to 12 equal the degrees 30 to 360/0. not number 2 though: it says 75 degrees, which doesn’t make sense. however: java is in exactly that direction if you switch east and west and start in sydney. looks like we know where they are now…

  47. katesawjack Jan 2, 2008 9:15 a.m. Comment: 47

I also went to the Maxwell Group pagewith Jaz’ link & put in a couple of bogus entries for user name & password, which then took me to server down page showing 02/01/2008 00:8:15 UTC. Does anyone have any more info on this ? I have a feeling that with that date & time ,it will not even be available until the new season begins. Could be wrong though……. What is the meaning of UTC….?

  48. McMenace Jan 2, 2008 9:18 a.m. Comment: 48

just had a look on lostpedia… I can’t believe there was one of the worlds biggest vulcanic eruptions on one of those islands in the trench in the year 1815. what a coincidence. I wonder what was going on there in the year 815? haha.

  49. jazprof Jan 2, 2008 9:26 a.m. Comment: 49

  52. shamballa Jan 2, 2008 9:46 a.m. Comment: 52

According to the first Lost experience, the Black Rock crashed on the Island in 1881. Two years later in 1883 Krakatoa erupted.

Too bad it wasn’t the same year. That could have explained the cause of the tsunami that carried the Black Rock so far inland.

I like you your thinking on that jaz.

UTC = Coordinated Universal Time http://www.dxing.com/utcgmt.htm

  53. katesawjack Jan 2, 2008 9:47 a.m. Comment: 53

Occam, It is a new ARG that ABC is providing us with,so as to even drive us ,even that much more to search for the answers to Lost. But it does seem to be something more to lead us in the right direction??? At least, that is my opinion about it for what it’s worth? :-))

  54. shamballa Jan 2, 2008 9:51 a.m. Comment: 54

Hey Brother Occam! Happy New Year. Welcome to the treasure hunt. :)

KSJ, I haven’t tried it yet.

I have a ?. In the game so far ,#9 says after you go to another site(assume ABC),and put things in Sam’s backpack,it says there will be a space to enter the clue that is uncovered, since I believe Y2 is the only one that was able to do that, how the Sam Hill (pun intended) do you get to do that ,if the Sam’s backpack is no longer there, and 2. Is it a step you have to do,in order to continue?

  60. YourMom Jan 2, 2008 11:18 a.m. Comment: 60

    Hello.

Just a little bit of information. People are emailing some of the accounts on Sam’s computer. They also have been getting responses from Tom Friendly. It reads like this:

Since the dawn of our species, man’s been blessed with curiosity. Your curiosity will be rewarded.

    Namaste

    Zeke Klotho Freundlich

Interestingly, though it is signed Zeke Klotho Freundlich in the actual email, in my inbox it says it’s from Tom Friendly.

Zeke, being the name that Sawyer calls Tom. Klotho, is some sort of gene that increases longevity and Freundlich is german for friend.

  61. YourMom Jan 2, 2008 11:28 a.m. Comment: 61

One more thing. Sam has a myspace account. Now, I dismissed this at first thinking it was probably fan made, but if you go to blogs… you can see the sign up date and it’s 11/5/07. No one knew about this then. I’m still on the fence but thought I’d share it anyways.

There is a faint picture of a coiled snake in the logo on the www.the-maxwell-group.com.

Ms. Hawking wore a similar pin while with Desmond. It could be a symbol of the Ouroboros http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oroborous.

  65. labgo Jan 2, 2008 12:06 p.m. Comment: 65

The message from Georgia Cavanagh makes reference to name, time and being back in service:

Hi, you’ve reached Georgia Cavanagh and Oceanic Airlines. We’ve had an unprecedended response to our return to service and we’ll try to get back to you shortly. Please leave your name, number, and the time that you called. In addition, please check out our new website at http://flyoceanicair.com beginning December 31st. Thank you.

Now the Maxwell Group site also refers to being back in service BY the date (by using the date may be). If you add the numbers on the date/time you get 39 (the message from Georgia talks about addition). And the press release insists on “December 31 to 9…”

By the way, about the press release, why is London not in the list of nine destinations but appears lower on the page?

In summary, I know why they called it LOST!!!!

Understood kat-a-tonic. Hey, if you don’t want to play no one is going to force you. ;-P

Although… it is delving into the back story of the show itself AND could have some important clues as to what is going on.

Plus, jaz is kinda playing along…

    Still, it’s your choice!

Not sure if this has been found or not, but I was looking at the source code for the diff. pages. On flyoceanicair.com, there are two things that didnt really fit. At the top it said “a warn witness” Then in the middle it said “Smash Moat”

Looking into it farther, I see they are anagrams for I want answers and Sam Thomas. Strange…

Also, I got this address from another site. It is the company behind ABC creating this game.

    http://www.hoodlum.com.au/v4/index.php

If you look in the Contact section, the CEO is Tracey R. Just like in the email.

  72. shamballa Jan 2, 2008 3:17 p.m. Comment: 72

I have been posting here and at Dark UFO under shamballa108.

Someone there mentioned the source code clues and I did some anagrams.

I think I figured out the first clue… “a warn witness” = “I want answers” and another person figured out that “smash moat” = “Sam Thomas”.

This would make sense considering Sam hacked the site.

I also added these possible solutions to Lostpedia’s site.

  73. shamballa Jan 2, 2008 3:21 p.m. Comment: 73

Good catch on the Tracey R. y2. They must be adding their own little touches (signatures if you will) on their work like the LOST writers/producers do.

  74. shamballa Jan 2, 2008 3:23 p.m. Comment: 74

The anagram engine I use doesn’t use the names of people in the results. Is there one that you know of that does y2?

  75. JWLOST Jan 2, 2008 3:25 p.m. Comment: 75

y2, Yea, I noticed that too…. I would post it, but this page is so mish mashed with info it would have gotten lost.

But further I delve… this one is really out there pretty hardcore, but bare with me. I took Tracy Robertson and decided to see if Hoodlum is working on anything Cloverfield related. I did a search and this site came up http://pdsonline.cityofboise.org/pdsonline/details.aspx?id=ELE06-03112&t=act&s=i It is something about Cloverleaf Project in Boise Idaho on Cloverfield Lane. In the description it says the “Internet Inspection” was requested by Tracy Robertson and the Permit Service was provided by Bob Reichart…. back on the Hoodlum page it says that Tracy is married to a “Bob.”

I doubt this is anything, but the site itself is very odd. There is a page about Child Training Videos and nothing seems to be working yet.

I probably just sent you guys to a legit site, but I figured I would share.

    3 hours and counting…

  78. Mittelos Jan 2, 2008 7:05 p.m. Comment: 78

While I was looking through the source code of the-maxwell-group, I realized it was just redirecting it’s information from http://www.find815.com/TMG/index.html, where the real source code is located. There doesn’t seem to be any clues, I only figured out the format used to send the username and password:

    http://www.find815.com/TMG/login.php?username:password

But it’s pretty useless since there are already forms for that. I’ll keep searching… Oh, there’s also a random dot in the source code. It actually appears on the left side of the page. Seems kind of odd they would make a mistake like that.

Gosh… Do you think the site might have a little traffic? It’s little slowww.

  83. Mittelos Jan 2, 2008 8:13 p.m. Comment: 83

Hmm… Anyone found the Season 4 clue? I’m not sure it’s working, because I’m clicking stuff and I get a strange noise, but nothing else. Perhaps it’s just slow because of all he traffic, too. Also, they’re talking about going to abc.com to get the clue. Whoever said they had released the game too soon was probably right!

  84. katesawjack Jan 2, 2008 8:14 p.m. Comment: 84

Okay, I am getting nothing but a black screen on the Find 815 site? Anyone else getting anything?

  85. Mittelos Jan 2, 2008 8:17 p.m. Comment: 85

Yes, I saw the new video and I’m looking for clues right now. I got on the site about 15-20 minutes to make sure I was there when it started. I did get a black screen for a few seconds, though. Patience is the key, I guess…

  86. Mittelos Jan 2, 2008 8:19 p.m. Comment: 86

    about 15-20 minutes before

But now that I want to see the video again, it won’t let me… It’s just too crowded right now. By the way, the progress “bar” was not updated. I’m still all green.

  87. shamballa Jan 2, 2008 8:20 p.m. Comment: 87

I still have the site up but then I never logged off. I’m afraid I’ll never get back on if I do. LOL!

The only thing that is working for me in the ‘story so far” window but when I click on the bedroom photo nothing happens.

I’m going to check out ABC’s site while I wait.

  88. ccumatt Jan 2, 2008 8:22 p.m. Comment: 88

Season 4 clue is just the Oceanic Hotline. Looks like we need to figure out what the voicemail password is. Press 8 to get into the voicemail prompt.

How do you get the last 2 clues ? I know they are Jacob’s chair & something on the table on the right side, but I can’t get anything to work when I click on them/ I still have 2 red boxes on the clues because of it. Can someone tell me how you do that?

  103. dabiatchishere Jan 2, 2008 9:25 p.m. Comment: 103

Okay, I watched it and picked up some of the clues! I have a great eye for detail, but will these clues actually lead in any direction that is story related?? Or help solve the mystery of Lost??

Because if they don’t, I just got one helluva headache for nothing!! lol

Start with the chair. Right armrest.

Fourth clue will activate after that.

  105. Mittelos Jan 2, 2008 9:31 p.m. Comment: 105

I finished Sam’s bag game and got abaddon. You think it leads to the same result on find815.com?

Kate: You can’t find them or nothing happens when you click? Earlier, I could click on the clues, but they only did some kind of weird noise, nothing else. I had to restart everything from the beginning.

  106. Annie79 Jan 2, 2008 9:32 p.m. Comment: 106

ksj, I’m right where you are. I was sure it was Jacob’s chair, but I don’t think his chair was a rocker. I’ve clicked on everything in the room and only gotten the Season 1 and Season 2 clues.

  107. katesawjack Jan 2, 2008 9:34 p.m. Comment: 107

Annie,I went to the darkufoblogspot. It shows you where allthe clues are. http://find815.blogspot.com I still had trouble till I just kept clicking on them continuously. The password is Matthew. Hope this helps.

  109. Mittelos Jan 2, 2008 9:42 p.m. Comment: 109

[Spoiler] For those who can’t get the clues:

    1. DriveShaft’s CD, near the bottom-right corner on a small table.
    2. Jewelry Box, on the left nightable.
    3. Jacob’s Chair, bottom-right corner, right armrest.
    4. Some kind of compass with Oceanic Airline’s number under, on the right nightable.

Hope it helps. If it doesn’t work, try closing your browser and going back.

  110. Annie79 Jan 2, 2008 9:49 p.m. Comment: 110

Thanks, ksj, it helps alot! I found all the clues and got sent to abc, but couldn’t find the ‘word’ I needed to enter.

  111. paper_lilies Jan 2, 2008 9:50 p.m. Comment: 111

I just tried calling oceanic again to enter new codes.. and there isn’t a recorded greeting anymore..? It just keeps ringing.. then hangs up. Is anybody else having this problem?

  112. paper_lilies Jan 2, 2008 9:52 p.m. Comment: 112

also, the driveshaft cd in clue #1 is titled “Live in Jakarta” hmmm…

  113. Annie79 Jan 2, 2008 10:02 p.m. Comment: 113

Okay, so it didn’t help so much. When you get all the 3 Seasons clues, they send you to abc to play a game about Sam and then you’re supposed to go back and enter the clue (I’m assuming this is Matthew) in the spot on the 815 site.

Where’s the game on abc???? I don’t see no frickin game!!! I just want to get it and go to bed. This is so frustrating…

    I’d rather post a theory. :-(

  114. shamballa Jan 2, 2008 10:06 p.m. Comment: 114

Try entering abaddon or matthew Annie.

We (someone) should start a new theory thread dedicated to trying to get into the Oceanic Hotline’s voicemail boxes.

I’m going to sleep on it. Have fun gang. Night!

  117. Occam Jan 3, 2008 5:26 a.m. Comment: 117

Guys, are you talking about calling Oceanic Hotline number for real? I mean, like with your real phones?

    Geez, that’s a work of a game…

  118. shamballa Jan 3, 2008 6 a.m. Comment: 118

Good morning (evening) DocOc. That would be correct. It’s an ARG (alternate reality game). It is like a scavenger hunt for clues and all types of media are used.

There are clues hidden in the source code of some of the ARG web pages, real email addresses that will send an automated message back to your email, and phone numbers with voice mail.

The idea is that over the course of playing the game, you discover a part of the back-story of LOST. This particular ARG deals with the real fate of 815.

  119. shamballa Jan 3, 2008 6:05 a.m. Comment: 119

In fact, to promote the game and season 4, ABC has even put up real billboards advertising the return of the fictional Oceanic Airlines.

  120. shamballa Jan 3, 2008 6:27 a.m. Comment: 120

The Oceanic Hotline message is now operational. There were probably so many calls at once that it created problems yesterday evening.

I tried entering 81 to get into the voice mail again, but it looks like that is no longer possible.

Here is the Oceanic Hotline (888-548-0038) message:

Thank you for calling the Oceanic Airlines flight 815 hotline. Information is updated as the investigation proceeds. Investigations are thorough and, as such, may take a period of time to complete. At this time we do not have any additional information regarding the crash of flight 815. If you are a family member or relative of a passenger on Oceanic flight 815, we are sorry for your loss. Detailed information is given during the daily family briefings. This briefing updates families on the progress of the investigation and allows for questions to be asked of the medical examiner or coroner and other parties connected to the investigation. Please contact your accident coordinator or call back later for more information.”

Thanks to The ODI over at Dark UFO for the transcript.

I’m guessing this “Season 4” clue is meant solely for us the players and not Sam.

This message implies that the wreckage and bodies were found. Why else would they mention medical examiner or coroner?

Doesn’t this counter Naomi’s claim that the intact plane at the bottom of the trench was too deep to get to other than by remote submarine?

  121. Occam Jan 3, 2008 7:38 a.m. Comment: 121

Hi, Shammers. Right now I’m infuriated. I spent most of my morning playing the game, then went out for lunch, then logged in again… and found all my progress lost. Dammit.

I had all greens (except for the black squares, of course), now I’ve got all reds.

Ok, an additional note: I checked the Maxwell Group page source code. I found the curious dot Mittelos mentioned some comments ago in the frame’s source code, but it doesn’t seem to take us anywhere. At the bottom of the page —not the frame— code there are three commented lines, saying “pageok”, “03”, and “7.0”. Well, the second one changes… I got a “02” and a “06” in two different views. I don’t know whether there is a pattern to this line, because I only checked three times. I’m gonna investigate this, and let you guys know.

  122. YouAllEverybody Jan 3, 2008 7:39 a.m. Comment: 122

Good stuff, sham. I agree with you….I think the message implies that the bodies were found. And didn’t Naomi say that they found all of the bodies in the plane?

  123. Occam Jan 3, 2008 8:08 a.m. Comment: 123

Can’t make anything on that Maxwell Group’s page source code. Besides the fact there is this site http://pageok.com that can be used to send text messages to pagers…

  124. shamballa Jan 3, 2008 8:23 a.m. Comment: 124

LOL! Yeah Oc, that happened to me also. I had to go through “phase” 1 and 2 twice before it updated my progress and actually stuck.

There is a thread on DarkUFO that is dealing with the source code here: http://find815.blogspot.com/2008/01/hints-in-source-code.html

Thanks YAE. I think she did say “everyone”. I’ll check the transcripts…

  125. shamballa Jan 3, 2008 8:32 a.m. Comment: 125

    Naomi’s quotes:

    Episode “D.O.C.”

No, flight 815. They…they found the plane. There were no survivors. They were all dead.”

    Episode “The Brig”

No, they found the entire plane off the coast of Bali, in an ocean trench 4 miles deep. They sent down cameras and these little robots to survey the wreck. The bodies were all there.”

  126. paper_lilies Jan 3, 2008 9:06 a.m. Comment: 126

i think i have a good theory about oceanic finding the bodies, our losties on the island, the trench, time, the season 4 trailers, and how they are all connected. remember, everything on lost happens for a reason..

  127. Occam Jan 3, 2008 9:07 a.m. Comment: 127

Hi, Shammers. You talked about real email addresses, and some people seem to have found them. I’m not one of that people. I just see usernames, no proper email addresses… What’s wrong with me?

Another curious thing: first time I started playing, I had 7 emails in Sam’s laptop. But then, as I proceeded, I watched him get and send some of them. Continuity error?

  128. YouAllEverybody Jan 3, 2008 9:08 a.m. Comment: 128

nice find, sham. so then does this mean that what Naomi was saying was true?

  129. shamballa Jan 3, 2008 9:20 a.m. Comment: 129

YAE, Either that or Sam is being set up as a patsy. I’m trying to work out the different scenarios. I think I will start a new thread since this one has moved to page two and is huge now. :)

Oc, If you replay the first video that shows Sam looking at his inbox, you will see some email addresses. You will have to pause it a few times and piece them together. I think only one sends a reply. I won’t spoil it for you.

  130. Occam Jan 3, 2008 10:04 a.m. Comment: 130

It is already spoiled, Shammers… but thanks for being so kind. IOU a Dharma beer…

  134. jraehol Jan 4, 2008 7:19 p.m. Comment: 134

nino—if you have a black square that means new material hasn’t been released yet, so you don’t have anything to do unless it turns red. So you’re good, you’re done for now.
