That’s my theory,well-question,i guess.Maybe Ben killed Jeremy Bentham? Yes,we all now that it was suicide,so what?Maybe it wasn’t. Ben simply change his mind,and dont want to leave the lidership of the Others to John.Or,he planned this from the very beginig. Tell me what you think.

i dont think Ben killed John, he kinda liked him in my opinion, but you never know, there isnt enough info on his death to speculate on.
I don’t think Ben simply change mind, Ben have no choice in who are lider of the Others, the island do. But Ben say he always have plan, so maybe he want to try and force Others to let him be lider again?

I don’t see Ben as being the one… I mean, if he plans on going back to the Island taking Locke with him, that might mean he has to deal with a ‘dead Locke’ their, who might be a bit annoyed with the man that killed him. . .
Mind you, I’ve wondered if it wasn’t Sayid before now!
It could of been Widmore? Finding out that the lider (:P) of the Others was off the island he went and had him killed.
a better question is how the hell did lock get off the island in the first place? Maybe it had to be moved again?
Yes that is a good question driveshaftroadie, but I’ve no answer to it unfortunately!
If it was murder, maybe Widmore related? Agree with Angelo re Ben : why would Ben want to bring Lock’s dead body back with him and then possibly have to deal with a ressurected Locke if he had killed him?
Anyway, we’re not sure it was murder. Suicides are often considered suspicious and Sayid is suspicious of absolutely everything all the time anyway. Maybe Locke went a bit nuts like Rosseau? Maybe he was depressed because he thought he couldn’t go back? I wonder, did he have to use the wheelchair again off island?
I still think that Ben and Locke are tricking Jack into doing it (going back to the island). Rememeber the throw away episode of the couple that got bit by that spider? This may be the reason for that whole episode. Locke got bit by the spider to give the appearance of being dead. Ben seems to have a lot of connections so it is not out of reach to think he couldv’e gotten a fake obit into the papers and paid off a funeral director to stage the viewing.
Wow seattle_swede, thats quite out there! But, I don’t think I’d be surprised, at any of the lengths that Ben would go to, at this point, so you never know.
