We’ve ll seen it, all stood and watched the box in awe, and we’ didn’t believe what we saw. A polar bear… Except this was Walt’s comic book’s polar bear.

As we have all seen, Walt has done some pretty amazing things on the show. he has thrown knives with Lock and somehow got a perfect shot, he’s, as many think, “created” a polar bear from his imagination but he’s not the only special person on the island.

No, you will find that Hurley has dont his share of amazing stunts. Call me crazy, or Hurley, but he sees things. he saw his old buddy from the clinic on the island. Now when your crazy, and you see stuff, it usualy doesn’t dissapear if you close your eyes and say “There’s nothing there”. When your crazy to the point where you see things, your head is messed up and you dont exactly have a good amount of control over it.

However what we can’t explain is how Hurley’s “Friend” threw a bloody cocanut at him that actually hit him! Well, where I’m going, I believe this is just like Walt’s ability to create polar bears. Near season 1 Hurley and Walt hang around each other quite often. One such possibility might be that Walt rubbed off on Hurley.

Walt makes a polar bear appear, Hurley makes a person appear. the only difference is that Hurley can close his eyes and make him dissapear. Something Walt doesnt know how to do or doesn’t want to do. We see this severel times with Jacob’s cabin, Hurley’s friend, and Charlie. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q5im0Ssyyus (guard your kidney well)

Another interesting anomoly is in season 4. Hurley lands a horseshoe perfectly around the pole. Sound familiar to when Walt threw a knife almost perfectly at a tree? In fact this is what makes me believe it is the same type of “power” or whatever you want it named. Not that their power is the ability to throw horshoes or knives at trees very well, but to interact with the island, one of them being this reacurring magnetic theme. So then, it would seem indeed possible that Hurley can not only possibly “create” things, but, for loss of better words at the moment, make them go “bye bye”.

Please dont mind the pull quote links, but i suggest you watch them either after or before this theory. Had to get them off my chest.

XD I can truly say I love you, highbrow….but I disagree with you, he prefers pasta. One with some fine spicy tomato sauce, juicy meat balls, sprinkled onions, and some raspy cheese on top.

That reminds me… the Losties never have to worry about the food… if they kill Hurley they have food for like….2 millenniums?

  12. highbrow Apr 30, 2008 5:12 p.m. Comment: 12

They would never kill Hurley. I bet he tastes like old cheese anyway…

Yes indeed. How does this go down again? I have a topic and a preferred side I wish to take.

I want to argue over wheather or not there really is a volcano on the island. I’d prefer to argue agaisnt it. I’d also suggest a soon deadline. Perhaps this Friday or so. I think i can be free around 3 or 4 PM if that works for you.

    That’s an unpleasant thought.

Angelo, man I had something to say, then I read your comment, then I read the theory again and all I could see was that line you mentioned.

Man you made me forget what I want to say and there is nothing that I can say in relation to that line that wouldn’t leave me blushing.

Hopefully X you can edit that line. PLEASE!!!

I think they do have a special connection as Hurley has obviously eaten Walt.

What I meant was that Hurley and Walt had been spending time together (I hear one freaking comment saying this sounds wrong and so help me…) that thats why they’re “specialness”(or power, whatever you want to call it) is so identicle. (Honestly, I’m not even kidding when i said Hurley and Walt are spending time together… I’m at a loss for better words right now. Don’t turn that into a gay joke, please.)
