Bad Gateway, Bad bad Gateway!

I’m sure that something like this has been posted before but newer users may not have seached back far enought to find the relevant info so please for give this posting if you have been here for a while and find this to be a rehash of old information. It would have helped me if I had seen it when I was a new user. (WAY back in February :)

If you from time to time, get a “Bad Gateway” error when you use this site, it is not a problem with your computer. It just happens on this site from time to time. I’ve had this happen with Internet Explorer, AOL and Firefox so it’s not your browser.

Here’s what to do if you get the Bad Gateway page:

1. Wait a minute or two and then start hitting the refresh button on your browser. This almost always works. If not, Wait a few more minutes and try again. If that doesn’t work try shutting off your browser and restarting it. As a last resort, turn off your computer and go do something else not related to Lost (difficult, I know) and come back to the site the next day :)

important If you are going to post a theory, always write it with a word processing progam first and when you are finished with it, copy and paste it onto the site so you don’t loose it. Nothing is worse than typing out this elegant and thoughtful theory and then losing it to a bad gateway error. (and, of course, the reason I just wrote this is becasue that just happend to me!)
