In response to keldac’s theory about why a theory has been debunked which was very good, I thought I’d point out a few things.
This site has been PURGED by the Dharma initiative (last summer) or even the writers of Lost and they have taken out theories by Jukin, the Kat, me, Lostsemiotic, williamwonka and others(ok it’s a bit far fetched but I’m having fun writing this anyway)
Below is a list of theories that have been debunked for no reason whatsoever (my personal favourite is Lostsemiotics ‘time-dilation’ theory , which is on the nail)– in fact there are some darn fine theories in there. Now if I were a writer of lost and wanted to keep something secret I’d make up a few passwords and ‘take-out’ some of the theories that are going to give away the ending of the story, so to speak.
Now after further investigation there seems to be a bit of course correction going and theories and theorists have been disappearing. Oldies remember ‘Kat’ - where has she gone, where are her theories and what’s even weirder where she has made comments on peoples theories (look at mine if you want to on bottom link, Kat’s comments have disappeared!) – like she NEVER existed – and there are imaginary conversations going on. What was the motive you may ask – well she worked out that you could ‘un-debunk’ theories if the writers of them went and updated them – they then appear on the highest rated page (where they should be!). It’s obvious she was a problem and she had to be ‘taken out’!

Of course I’m sure there are perfectly good reasons to explain these events – but I had great fun writing this post!

LOL, MrAlpert, maybe the sites owned by ABC and the best theorists are being held hostage until the end of season 6 in 2010.

If someone could remove Kat’s posts, wouldn’t it be just as easy to remove the entire theory from the board?
The “someone” who did it owns this site and it was done at the user’s request. It wasn’t a hacker. That’s all I know.

I had noticed that kat & ProfOzone both have been missing for quite some time now. I had not noticed that kat was completely erased, as if she never existed. That is a real shame,because these were two very very prolific writers, and I personally miss reading their theories as well as their comments.
There are others as well that have quit posting with much regularity, but I still see them comment once in awhile. I realize, I haven’t mentioned everyone by name,but anyone that has been around this site a lot , will know that there are others ! +1

I’ve definetly noticed MOST of the “old-timers” disappearances and personally I’m very disappointed. The quality of theories posted has declined drastically with a few exceptions.

I think when the site was rebooted way back when, loads of the users disappeared. You had to actually apply directly to Jeff to get your theories unlocked and I don’t think Kat did that. I know I had to do the same!
Oh and I really miss them all. It just ain’t like it was. I think I know where to find them though so all is not Lost ;-)

Hey all—just to clarify DoubleD is right—kat asked to have her theories removed and it had nothing to do with any troll activity, hackers, or any of the recent LT turmoil. I think she’ll be back on at some point to clarify, but just so’s you don’t worry.
Well I did want this to be ‘fun theory’ - still I wouldn’t put it past the lost writers to ‘debunk theories though as they are very protective over the storylines getting out. - glad kat is ok! I guess it’s like the Oceanic 6 going missing from the island - when will Kat, Prof o, shamballa and others return?

Greetings all.
No, not brainwashed or cloned… not a ghost or hallucination… not an impersonator or a troll… and definitely not Ben’s man on the boat… just little ‘ol me.
Where’ve I been? Well, I was scared away first of all. No, not by trolls. For some reason I barely noticed their presence. Actually, I was scared away by spoilers. And after some efforts to encourage people be more sensitive about such things but being told if I didn’t want spoilers I just shouldn’t participate in a site like this one, I took the advice I was given.
At the same time the site started acting strange and I either couldn’t get in or was often kicked out and these problems persist for me to this day.
Then season four started and, to be honest, the shows haven’t given me anything NEW to say. Back on my site I post notes on each episode but so far they’ve just been pointing out confirmations of the “paranormal island” and “chess game” theories that several of us “old timers” have posted time and again.
Now, yes… part of the fun in coming here was in reading other peoples’ theories, and I DO miss that. But when the site actually allows me to get on I find it difficult to find very many theories that I’m moved to comment on. I hesitate to say that because I don’t want to give the impression that I’m some snob about such things. I think anyone who knows me knows I’m not, in fact. I used to enjoy just about everything I read here, sometimes the more outlandish the better! :-) But… it’s just different now.
(Now please don’t get me wrong… I KNOW there are good theorists here still posting good stuff… but I can get on so rarely and it seems their theories have all been long buried by the time I get here.)
So… I hope nobody takes my absence personally. I haven’t turned my back on the site or something. The site just hasn’t cooperated with me lately and I haven’t really had much to say.
But even after a three-month hiatus I still have a ton of theories and comments out there, so maybe it’s good for me to let somebody else talk for a change. :-)

Prof, I know you hate spoilers. I tried to give some advice awhile back, but gave up. There we so many new people everyday, it seemed like a senseless task at that point. However, there are others on the site who feel the same as you and do point it out from time to time.
As for the Bad Gateway problem, it’s not as bad as it was when the site first came back up. It happens every once in a while and when it does, all you have to do is refresh the page (it does take about 6 or 7 times) and it takes you right to where you want to be.
We’re having fun posting pictures here now too, thanks to wtf. She gave us the instructions and everyone is doing it!!
