I don’t know if this has been pointed out before, but I want to know if anyone else has noticed this and they think about it.
We know that Richard Alpert appears to have not aged since the 70’s, but has anyone noticed that in the Lost Experience the same thing seemed to be true of Alvar Hanso?
Alvar Hanso, it is stated, made his fortune as an arms supplier during World War Two, but in the picture we see of him he appears to be no older than mid-fifties. For him to have been an arms supplier during WW2 and still be alive in 2004 he would have to be in his eighties at least.
Does anyone have any ideas about how this may be possible? or if there is a link between Richards agelessness and Alvar Hanso’s?

It has been suggested that Richard may have taken part in the Life Extension Project but this is the first time I have heard of Alvar doing so. I brushed up on my Alvar Hanso history and found the following.
From the Lost Experience, Lostpedia:
“According to Dr. Eliza Vasquez, there is something unusual about Alvar’s blood work, which she suggested may have serious consequences to his health. Javier Grillo-Marxuach also revealed in the aftermath of the Experience that Alvar was older than he seemed, after himself taking part in the Foundation’s life extension experiments ”
I’d say you hit a bullseye CPB. Nice job.
Good work CPB, and nice find sham.
So should we assume that the Life Extension Project is over with? Ben is no spring chicken. Although, the pregnancy issues could have something to do with this….
CPB: Yes, nice work! +1
Shammie: Great find! I would have to agree with your assessment.
I remeber hearing of the life extension project, can’t believe I didn’t make that connection, it’s an interesting idea - so if Richard had taken part in that then it would mean that he had previous relationship with the Hanso Foundation before he was with the hostiles?
