- Flag this theory:
The observation that there seems to be no discernable electrical power source for the Dharma stations has lead to speculation about how they might be powered.
After reading up on Nikola Tesla (thank you Paintgiirl) I came across this:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wirelesspowertransmission
This might lead to an answe as to how these stations are getting their electricity. I haven’t come up with a theory as to exactly how a wirless power transmission would be acheived on the Island, but I’m throwing this out there for discussion. Cheers.
Oooh.. this one is easy.. .through Nuclear fusion using the Heavy Water under the flame:

I thought that was already clear?!?!? :)
Heh heh, xiv…this one was almost baited for you! LOL! Like I said - just throwing it out there (as I had never heard of wireless power transmissions before and found it most interesting!) ; )
The same folks responsible for making supply drops could be bouncing power off the ionosphere from a remote location to a central power distribution center on the island. The barracks map shows power cables running underground.
A little over the top but possible if they have mastered the technology. I tend to think it will be an on island station that uses geothermal, tidal, or nuclear sources to generate power.
There is a screen shot from the Lost video game with a new hatch logo. It looks like the universal sign for electricity or power with an arrow pointing down. Unofficially know as the “Flash” logo.

shamballa: i’ve seen that logo, but that is, like you stated, just from a video game, and is really not official.
Hey Hex and xiv, if you are into stuff like Tesla’s wireless power transmission you may like reading about H.A.A.R.P..

shamballa: you need some coffee man… that’s the link that Hexagon put in his post! :)
Doh! blushes Too many tabs open. Thanks xiv. starts a pot of joe

Hex, good post man. I like Sham’s suggestion. Easy to create, easy for audience to understand.
Either that or there’s this giant gerble on a treadmill… underground…or maybe its a giant badger….
