Vega, Do not let that deter you from making theories, or bringing up valid points and discussions. Obtaining feedback is how we ALL learn about our favourite show. We still learn, even when something has been theorized about previously. Someone always brings something new and worthwhile to the table, or provides new perspective, about the mysteries we seek to solve.

So, stick with it!

I wouldn’t worry about it. I only got into to the show after they had the pilot episode on Rifftrax. After years of abuse (lame “comedies” and countless reality shows), I had just turned a blind eye to anything on TV that wasn’t animated the past few years. Good thing Rifftrax came along to show me the way!

Vega definitely don’t be put off. Just because you’re late to the party doesn’t mean you aren’t welcome. I only joined this site in May and have posted my share of ‘old’ news but what I find is that new people often bring new perspective to old theories and themes if you see what I mean. You might have spotted something no one else has, and anyway sometimes it is just good to revisit old theories to re-ignite the discussion. So post away my friend, you might just hit gold!

I envy you vegarover. Discovering the series and watching it for the first time was fantastic. Hell, even the second and third time was pretty cool. ;)

Vegarover, I’ve seen many a theory posted over and over by many different people, it just happens. Often, it’s a slightly new twist on an old theory that can send discussion in another direction. Lastly, I have been watching longer than you, but doubt if I’m any more out of the dark. Many people have the DVDs and re-watch the shows, but I still go on just my old memory because I don’t have enough attention-span to watch something twice. Stick it out, and buy the start of season 4 , you’ll be showing me where I’m wrong in my comments.

veg, I agree with everyone else. Dont stop posting just because youre new to Lost or the site. Everyone who posts here adds something new or different and could spark a discussion that could take us in a whole new direction.

Listen to the podcasts, I*m sure theyre still up. Someone here can post where, if I cant find them.

And Ill let you in on something you probably dont know, although Ive been a member since June and commenting like crazy, I havent posted a theory yet myself. So I admire your courage in putting yourself out there.

Unlike most of the people on this board, I just started watching Lost a few months ago. … I have found out that everything that I come up with as far as “theories” go, has already been discussed… wait a minute. Where have I seen this before? :)

Vega - see, it happens to all of us!! Don’t worry about it - just post away. As so many before me have said, there there’s usually something new that pops up with each conversation. Besides we (unfortunately) have many more months of dead air to kill before season 4 starts and we have to have something to discuss!!

(As a side note, if the writers strike ends up delaying the start of S4 I’m going to try to bribe dabs, Katrina and of course our very own Fred to make a side trip from Vegas out to LA to break some legs and otherwise “convince” the powers that be that we’ve waited long enough!! A couple of broken bones should help the producers and writers see the light! )

Personally I prefer when new viewers talk things out. We need some fresh ideas and new voices force us to reconsider our assumptions.

Vega, you’ll pick eveything up pretty easily, so don’t worry about it. New perspectives keep evveryone fresh and on their toes….don’t get discouraged.

Thanks for all the encouragement guys! I’m glad to hear I wasn’t ticking people off with old theories. Although I’ll still probably hold off for a while…I’m gonna try watching Lost all over again over the holidays, so maybe something might spark my attention then.

Don’t stop posting because you’re new. My gods, things can get stale here quickly, and we need new blood, new ideas, new enthusiasm.

Sure, we’re going to slice and dice your ideas, but, you know, that is just the sacrifice the island demands. ;-)
