I’m posting this at the request of Katesawjack after reading a comment i made on a post by the fake TheRealWillsDad
I normally don’t bother to say a word in trollish thread’s, just can’t be bothered to feed it, but this is getting so out of hand. An easy way to spot a spoof ID is to make sure that your status bar is enabled and then just hover your mouse over a user name. The user name will then be displayed in your status bar but you will see the difference between a capital and an l so you can immediately spot a faker and move on.

Now I just hope it works. I had a vulgar comment directed at me on, the post The Lost Haiku Page I believe the only reason, there has not been a fake ID for myself, is that none of the letters can be disguised in my name! It is really a shame that a person has to become a detective just to try and keep this site the fun place it has always been. + 1
I have seen many others just simply stop posting because of this. For instance WillsDad was picked off and banned, because of speaking up, and that is just wrong .All a person need do is look at the date that someone joins,plus use your very good suggestion of a simple thing like rolling the mouse over that name,plus use a little common sense. + 1000

Welcome AtoriAnzo. I’m sure this seems very confusing. A real contributor to this site was allowed to be banned because of some very destructive behaviors by a very small faction of users to this site.
There are a lot of good posters here on the best Lost site that there is.(That is in my opinion).

This is a plea to all posters Please indicate if you are voting with a +1 or a -1 or not at all . I see that there are only two users here that have indicated that.. Assuming that LoJozz voted a +1 that would make it a +3, but there have been 9 Votes total.
This way we will be able to see how many are just Strolling by to only post a vote. It will probably more than likely end by showing negative numbers,depending on how many are getting their kicks this way?That is just a suggestion though ,I really don’t want to play dictator here!

+1 Is anyone else having the same problem as I am? I’ve turned on my status bar and the two mentioned posts appear identical to me. You mention that the i’s are capitalized, yet both appear identical in my status bar. Even when I click on the user name it takes me to the same user?? Any further suggestions or am I looking at the wrong entries?? 8:43 and 8:46 in the ‘introduce myself” thread. Please let me know.
tharde: When you roll your mouse over the name it should appear right above the task bar and in this particular instance the fake WillsDad is using an upper-case I (i) instead of a lower-case l (L)
+1. Look closer, tharde. the “L” in “real” is a capital “i”. whoever did thats smart. trollish but smart.
