Ok. This theory is not about the existence and why people are on the island, it is just something I observed and may or may not be true. Just my thoughts

Ok so this theory applies to the episode “…..And Found”. In that episode, one of the main story lines involves Sun losing her wedding ring. Jack shares with her a story: he lost his wedding ring once, and he panicked, and searched everywhere to no avail. Sun asks where he found it. Jack says that he didn’t; he went to a jeweler and had a replica made and nobody ever knew that it had been missing.

I think this may be a hint explaining what will happen to the survivors. Nobody will find them, and nobody will ever know that they were missing except themselves on the island. The only way they are going to get off is that they are going to use whatever resources around them to get off in any possible way. So I don’t even know yet if I agree with this theory, but its just my thoughts on a possible explanation.

would go a long way in explaining the Flash Forward

I thought that scene was a hint to Sun’s dishonesty.

Locke comes up with his own metaphor for this moment. He tells Sun that he was Lost, but the moment he stopped looking was when he found himself.

He’s talking about arriving on the Island, obviously, but it’s interesting how different characters takes on the same event do say more about them than the event itself.

barbz, good thoughts for your first theory. I’m not sure I agree this is how it will turn out, but it is sure one possible answer.

OK, I might have read it wrong, but if nobody finds them and nobody outside of the island knows they were missing…..how did they get the golden tickets? I re-read it a few times, but sorry if I read it wrong.

Some good thoughts, barbz! And, good discussion. I think YouAll, makes a good point, though. +1

Doctor Hammil says “Dr. Shepard. The Hero! Twice over.” I don’t think he meant the woman AND the boy in the car crash. He meant the woman on the bridge, and saving the lives of the losties. I am making educated guesses.

    I agree with that, JacoblovesyoU.
