If anyone could fake his own death, he could.
— NowImLost
Everybody is wondering why Jack mentions his father in the future flash… well… it’s kinda simple really… He isn’t… nor was he ever really dead.
None of you remember that when Jack found his father’s coffin in the episode “White Rabbit”, it was empty… sure… some of you might argue that his body fell out of the coffin just to contradict me on this, but I think that Jack’s father’s body never was in the coffin to begin with. You will also argue that Jack identified his body in the morgue, but maybe he faked his death, after all, he was a chief surgeon. If anyone could fake his own death, he could. And does anyone know if Jack actually took the time to make sure his father was in the coffin when it was shipped to the airport? I often wonder about this.
I often wonder about this too. Doesn’t anyone else find it strange that most of the leading men have issues with or about their fathers and some of the women their mothers?
- Jack -> Everyone knows he had issues with his dad.
- Locke -> issues with his dad the con man.
- Jin’s -> dad is dead to him.
- Desmond -> issues with his soon to be father in law’s respect in him.
- Ben -> dad who blamed his wifes death on Ben.
- Walt -> barely knew his absent father Michael.
- Hurly -> his pop Cheech ran out on his mother and him.
- Sawyer -> dad killed mom and committed suicide.
- Kate -> mom disowns her after she kills dad.
- Clair -> mum who dies shortly after she wished she was dead and don’t forget her resentment towards her illegitimate father Dr. Sheppard.
Are there any others I left out?
Maybe some of the writers have daddy issues as well…
