Both men that Sawyer killed share part of the name “Tom Sawyer”…Is James now becoming the Real Sawyer?

A minor point I realized this morning about Sawyer having killed first Cooper and now Tom.

Both men that Sawyer killed share part of the name “Tom Sawyer”—is there any other point being made here other than Sawyer on a self-destructive path at the moment? Death of his (James’s) innocence? Is he now becoming the Real Sawyer? Just like future Jack seemed to be turning into his Dad? Was future Kate living with an abusive man just as her Mom was?

    Great FIND!!!

    All the characters names are from the Bible, from philosophy texts or other literature (i.e. Tom Sawyer) - this leads me to believe it is all in one person’s head and the person creates the names/characters from books they have read. Check out my theory:
