If you can control time you can change anything, kill anyone - maybe kill someone at an early age or even their father so that no one would know that they ever existed - hence why no one might turn up for the funeral.

After doing a bit of research and looking at theories on this site, has anyone thought why people are looking for this island?

Remember what Penny said - “you can find anyone if you’ve got enough money”

The Bilderberger group was formed in 1954 and they are a group who look to influence the way the world works and it has been suggested that they could be part of a New World Order. Now I reckon that the Bilderberger group (or another similar group) could have been responsible for forming the Dharma Initiative and as we know they have done lots of experiments, one must be Time travel after watching the last episode and reading the ‘Major major spoiler’ theory.

Ben said in the last episode the ‘history was going to repeat itself’ - that is the people who originally formed the Dharma Initiative would be looking for the island again after realising that Ben had killed all the old Dharma Initiative people. Plus it must be the Dharma group that are looking for them as they know the island exists and they must have a lot of money behind them.

What’s more all the dads in Lost seem to be pretty influential people (Mr Paik, Penny’s dad etc) and if they are the founders of the Dharma Initiative they would have invested a lot of cash in forming this.

Why would they want to do this - to rule the world of course - If you can control time you can change anything, kill anyone - maybe kill someone at an early age or even their father so that no one would know that they ever existed - hence why no one might turn up for the funeral as seen in the last episode. (not sure about the science behind this and the Gedanken experiment- I’m a man of faith!)

This could be the reason why Jack has become a junkie as he can’t cope with the decision he made to leave the island as they are under a sentence of certain death if they say anything that Dharma don’t like. Also Kate is with ‘Him’ - I was going to say that him is Kate’s stepdad that she killed but someone has already posted it - however on reflection it could be one of the Dharma bosses (like Mr Paik or Jim from Neighbours) who she is being forced to live with - otherwise she gets the chop!

Take a look at this quote from Wiki “Alice A. Bailey, the “New Age Prophetess”, predicted in 1940 the victory of the Allies over the Axis and the establishment afterward by the Allies of a “New World Order” — regarded by her (as by H.G. Wells, noted below) — as a benevolent conspiracy by political progressives that would bring humanity to a higher level of civilization.”

Dharma are trying to create a perfect society - and references have been made about lists, taking children at a young age to give them a better life and also people not being perfect but scared and weak like Mikhail told the Losties.

I like the theory about Jack being Jacob and he is trying to go back to help them and Locke saying ‘You’re not meant to do this”- Also think about Adam and Eve as the producers said they were significant - Kate and Jack?

Richard not ageing (he’s a time traveller!), Desmond travelling back in time already and seeing the future, futuristic phones being brought onto the island, the jump the shark episode ‘flash before your eyes’ and the pirate ship. Time travel has to be central to this storyline and the ‘Twelve monkeys’ film strongly relates to this as I’ve said before in an earlier post.

One thing is for sure - if you can control the island you can control the world and make a lot of money out of it.

Not time travel per se, but a time-phase shift through portals that provides answers to many of the odd occurrences on the island.
