In that old episode, where Kate was marrying a cop, was she not looking at least a little like that woman who was buried alive in the killer-spider episode?
And just now, in the season finale, for me it wasn’t Kate. It was a half-Kate half-Asian chick from the episode where Jack made his tattoos.
I don’t see it.
I think the way Kate looks a little different in those scenes you mention just reflects the different conditions of her life at those different times/places. (She’s not morphing into combos of actual different women though.)
i think the make-up’d the hell out of her to show a change in her life. personally i think kate looked better when she was sweaty and frizzy hair on the island.
it was the writers way of showing stark contrast

My thought is that Kate could possibly be ill, a virus? Possibly a nationwide/global one?
That’s why Jack wants to go back to the island for it’s healing properties.
Give her a break, she didn’t look THAT bad! If she had some crazy virus wouldn’t SHE want to go back too!?!
She had numerous ammounts of failed plastic surgery attempts and each time changed her appearance……or you should slap that old TV of yours from the 1960 and maybe ull see that only cosmetics and her natural modelling ability shifted her beauty from more beautifull, to even more more beautifull. = )
