Sometimes the writers aren’t on the ball yet. Sure, we can zoom in on that scrap of paper and try to decipher who’s name is on it. But if we had done the same thing to Des’ original picture of Penny, and then tried to find that girl on the series… well, she wouldn’t quite show up, would she?

If they can change the women in Des’ picture when they solidify the Penny character, they may have just used any old misc. obit style article, and “J. ‘antham” may have not end up being even close to the name of who died. It’s a little different, but still plausible.

You may eat me alive now.

    HA!

You may eat me alive now.” That’s friggin’ hilarious!

Primarily because I’m sure this will happen. Although I agree with you 150%

We probably shouldn’t dissect the show like lunatics.

If the writers don’t realize by now that we’re going to dissect this show like lunatics then they’re kidding themselves…. I’m sure they knew that we would super zoom the newspaper article.

Yep. They should know that ubergeeks like us will analyze every little thing. I bet that is why we can’t get a clear view of the sodding clip. :)

You taste good with lots of ketchup drebb! :P

There is also a difference between casting a character and typing up a newspaper article - they have more control over the newspaper article. I am certain that it was intentional and accurate.

It could have been another error on the part of the crew. The producers have stated that it was an error that we could see the Dharma logo on the Shark. It was supposidly a joke on the part of some of the crew. Although it was LATER stated that it WAS in fact intentional just not to be seen so clearly. I’m in agreement completely. I think the only thing we were meant to see was the “los Angeles” heading and nothing more.
