Has anyone noticed the similarities between lost and twelve monkeys. Is Desmond playing the role of Bruce Willis?
Timelines, synchronity are issues discussed and posted by many - surely the story will be about ‘saving the world’ (valentzi equation etc) and only people who can apparently go back in time and see into the future (aka Desmond) will be the one to save the world - I think Desmond will learn how to travel in time or ‘alternative timelines’ in future episodes - also it could explain how the others know so much about the Losties (e.g. Sawyer was on his own the night that he killed the guy in the burger van) as someone (maybe Ben) had seen it.
However the question remains can you change time (as Charlie still died, depsite Desmond saving him a few times)

Interesting comparison to “12 Monkeys.” Along the same scenario of saving the world how ‘bout the film “Millenium?” If you haven’t seen it–-put in on your list.
Too many books and movies to compare ….none of them will end up being “the one” as soon as we catch on to the books ….. they are gone…. they (the writers) are way ahead of us… (and…that is a good thing)
