I believe that Locke is Jacob. I’ve been reading some of the other theories posted here and I truly believe Locke is Jacob.
I think that there is some sort of parallel universe thing going on here and somehow Locke has managed to figure out how to shift between the two. I think that the Locke we’ve been following so far doesn’t realize that he can do this yet, but later on he will figure out how to. Recently, my english teacher showed me this strange novel that where the book ends, the story begins, and vice versa. (Sorry I can’t explain it any better) Anyways, this got me thinking that maybe the two universes meet where the island begins and somehow Locke knows this and is able to appear twice on the island (as Jacob and Locke.) I was also thinking that Locke is the true hero of the show but the writers are sort of using Jack to confuse us. Some support for this is that, out of all the characters, Locke seems to be the purest. Other characters have murdered and committed adultery, but Locke seems to best of the bunch. The show also tries to portray Locke as being on the verge on insanity at some points but I believe they are doing this again to draw attention away from him. I know my theory is full of holes but I thought this was worth sharing. Just my 2 cents!

Actually in the finale Locke killed Naomi. This was actually a strange “break” in his charachter. They JUST showed us that he couldn’t kill his father, then showed us that he also cannot kill Jack - but he kills Naomi without flinching an eye.
Locke has gone LOCO! Obviously:P
I think it’s Locke who’s in the casket…
btw.. is the piece of paper readable?
