Only three months?
On last weeks episode, I think it was Charlie that said something about them being on the island for about 90 days…. that’s 3 months… and we are in the third season… any relationship there do you supposed and does that mean the last three episodes are going to make the total amount of elapsed time 6 months? And if so, is there are any significance to it all? Just thinking…
its a day to day show, no days pass on the island between seasons or days between shows thats why only 90 days past, although there is a time displacement going this doesn’t effect the fact that to the crahers it’s really only 90 days
I don’t think there’s any significance.
They can’t exactly have a 9 month gap in Lost time between each season.
Each season carries on from the last, and say each season is 1 month, then yes, after the 6th season it’ll be 6 months that the Losties have spent on the Island.
I read a theory in between seasons two and three that said that season one lasted 42 days (meaning that 42 days passed on the show during the course of season 1) and that season two lasted 23 days. It was speculated in the theory that season three would last 16 days, season four 15 and so on. It was speculated that the show would need to be six seasons long for this pattern to continue. Now, this was before it was announced that Lost would indeed last for 6 seasons. Does anyone know if seasons one and two really lasted that long and if so, does season 3 still fit the pattern?
Oooh, katrina brings up an excellent point about suns baby… maybe we will get to learn more about the islands properties…excellent.
well…..if the last three seasons are only totaling 48 episodes…then maybe less than three additionally months will pass…..it is more likely to be proportional based on the shows structure until now…….so that would be closer to thinking only 20-30 more days will pass on the island and I am not certain that SUn or Kate will hit the end of their 2nd trimester…..of course they could in one episode say “three months later….”…but that would be inconsistent and leave too many ??????????s
