The looking glass

— TheThinker

This has been given further evidence by the fact that naomis plane crashed when close to the island.

I think that the reason the island remains hidden was not due to the now destroyed original hatch, but in fact was due to the presence of the LG. maybe a sub really is the only “safe” way onto the island, and the LG is in fact the entrance as well as the main source of communication with the outside world. just some thoughts in my head while bored at work, feedback appreciated!

thats kewl. it makes sense. but what people are down there? i mean are those remaining Dharma people? possibly other hostiles? or a different set of island inhabitants…any ideas on that?

Juliet takes sun to the medical station where the women are taken to give birth and ultimatly die…but what if perhaps they did not die, but were in fact taken to the LG? i mean, couldn’t help but notice that the people in the LG were so far as weve seen yet, only women…just spitballing.

Wow thats great, you are really living up to your name TheThinker.

Maybe the women are actually surviving but being hidden away in the LG so that they can say they died and the experiments will continue?

Maybe any vessel (first time I’ve ever used that word but can’t think of a better one to sum up boats/planes/subs/helicopters!) that is trying to get to the island has to pass through the LG first? Otherwise the Others might use a better mode than submarine to get there?

I think the LG is definitely more important than it’s made out to be. I reckon it has a lot of control. It is used to block all signals after all. Which is probably the only reason the Losties ain’t been rescued yet. Bloody LG.
